Heavy Duty Waterproof Boat Cover for 17'-19' Trailers - iCOVER

Rob Caylor: Arrived on time. Fitment was as specified. This was for a 21 ft. Chaparral cuddy cabin. For the first rain storm, we got 8 unexpected inches of rain in one day!. I had not installed a support over the passenger area, and several hundred pounds of rain water were bulging above the floor - but no leaks or tears! After siphoning off the water and installing a support fixture, it has weathered several more rain storms with no problems. I really like the straps going around the trailer frame instead from side to side of the boat like my last cover had. Very impressed with the quality! I would definitely recommend buying this boat cover. I shall buy one for my 14 ft. runabout skiff next.

Samantha: Quality was better than expected. Just used it for the first time so we will see how it holds up over the winter, but so far am greatly surprised how nice the cover is for the 'under $100' price-point.

PhilPhil: I don't drive with it on, so it's only on when in storage. Upon writing this review we have had some wicked rain and there has been no leaking or tearing etc. The price and if you're just covering for storage, this is definitely worth it.

Jeffrey M Kerr: I paid $110 for the 300D cover for 16-18 for boats. Disappointing to see that there price has since doubled. At the original price it was outstanding value. This cover has been used on my 16.5 foot aluminum side console this summer. My boat sat in an outdoor lot awaiting repairs for 3 weeks protected by this cover. Most days, the weather was hot and sunny, but there were a few days of very heavy rainfall after which I would drop by to check the condition of boat and cover. The cover did not allow any water through, and the color has not faded after a total of about 30 days use in mostly hot, sunny conditions. I purchased the cover rated for 16-18 for boats, and it is (not surprisingly) significantly oversized for a boat 16' 7" long and 77" wide. I prop up the cover with poles and put it right over the outboard to take up some of the extra length.

Everyday Joe: Okay, I will admit I bought it more on price than anything else, I didn't want a cheap cover, but I was unwilling to miss my rent payment for one either. Seems a pretty decent cover, straps are in all the right places, easy to pull over the boat, doesn't sag too much under its own weight. My only complaint is the fitting. I have a 15ft boat with a windshield so I ordered a cover that was said to fit a 16ft boat. All the images showed a boat with windshield and motor being covered, so I figured good to go. Well, it doesn't exactly fit the windshield, it sits up on the side about half way up. If I didn't have a windshield, I'm sure the cover would have fit perfectly, but because I do, I can't say really like it. I don't hate it, but I'm not really liking it either.
A note on water proof. I live in southern Alberta, and we do get snow then it warms up and melts, well we got hit with a major snowfall, and it warmed up only a couple days later and melted all the snow before I could brush it off the boat. Long story short, I ended up with a large pool of water in the center of the boat, which did not leak through the cover, not rip the seams, so kudos on that...

ff4lifeOntarioff4lifeOntario: I ordered after measuring and taking the advice from the manufacturer to order the “next size up” and when cover arrived it was easily installed on my 18.5’ I/O with just the right amount of cover for my swim platform and out drive to be covered. I was careful when installing the cover and made sure as recommended to cover the sharp edges with pool noodles or pieces of carpet to protect the cover. Straps adjust from one side only and are detachable from the cover very nice option!!
I do not plan on travelling with this cover as I believe unless you spend a ton more money on a snug fitting custom cover you’ll forever be having ballooning and ultimately damage which would be expected. We are very pleased with the arrival time, and the price to quality level of this cover.
We recommend it for someone storing there investment outside, we live in Ontario near Lake Ontario and weather patterns here are rain, freezing rain, wet snow and blowing snow for 4 + monthes of the year!!

Spyglass: Cost effective, get two years out of it...… will fail during the winter winds in the 3rd year if you think you can mild another year out of it. I place a large cargo bungie net over the cover during the off season to prevent the wind from flapping the cover to death. It rally helps and gets me the 2 year life span. It is the UV that is the killer. Pad any sharp corners on your boat or use iron on denim knee patches to increase abrasion protection where applicable (corners of the windshield). I have accepted the two year life span and roll with it. Good while is lasts.
