Megan Dvorak: This cook book is the absolute BEST cookbook & guide to not only healthy toddler meals, but meals for the entire family! It has so many easy and healthy meals that you don’t normally find in an every day cook book. The beginning of the book explains necessary macros needed for healthy growth and what they do, and each recipe is complete with all macros necessary for a balanced meal. They also include a toddler-guide with their nutritional needs and examples of recommended servings. The author seems like such an amazing woman. She reassures you that your toddler’s eating is important, but their eating patterns are not linear & the important thing is that they are trying new things & getting essential vitamins. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Chandra: My kid isn’t even anti-veggie but the recipes in this book don’t look appealing even to me. We looked thru it together and tried a few. Did not enjoy. Did not find kid friendly or even adult appetizing at all. Big disappointment

H N: Meh. I was looking for a cook book that would help me feed my kid and myself in a healthier way than hot dogs and Mac n cheese. But wow this is way too far the other way. I want a healthy cook book that was more focused on A balanced diet but I definitely don’t need EVERY recipe to be vegan dairy or nut free or gluten free. It feels like the author is going out of their way to make complicated dishes. Maybe it’s “fuss free” for some kids but it’s not mom fuss free while looking at the ingredients lists. Not my jam. If your kid has allergies or if you are trying to raise a kid in a home that needs dietary restrictions this book would be helpful. If you are looking for a book to make healthy eating less a struggle... this isn’t it.

Laura Wrede: I was looking for an easy cookbook and this is terrible. I can find better recipes online and I can’t believe she explicitly wrote that salt and sugar are bad for toddlers which I agree and yet almost every recipe has added salt or maple syrup and other sugar alternatives.

JS Horn: Unlike the majority of the fans of this book, who are enthusiastic cooks, I hate buying, preparing, and cooking food. It’s just not my thing. And that’s EXACTLY why I fell in love with this particular title and decided to buy it.
Instead of making me feel like I am the only one struggling with coming up with decent food options, the author comes across as very relatable, lowering my wall of intimidation. She offers practical advice and recipes that are truly easy: she breaks things down into understandable bits for us less-than enthusiastic cooks.
The section about what to stock (and where) in your kitchen was my personal favorite as it really lays out what you should have on hand - did I mention I don’t like cooking??
Besides the easy dishes, the book includes manageable ideas for toddlers to help in the kitchen – from adding ingredients to the bowl to pushing buttons; it’s a great way to introduce kitchen safety while keeping them involved and giving them ownership of the dish.
What spoke to me the most about this book though: pickiness is normal! The author makes it known that she has a picky eater in the house and had the same struggles I do. Overall,...

Frank Matticola: I have a 23m and I cook all 98% of our meals. With this book, I like the variety of ingredients and ideas, it uses a lot of the ingredients we use regularly but in a unique way. We as a household eat fairly healthily and I appreciate the different styles of composing the same ingredients in a lot of ways. The best thing to me is, these meals are easy to make and you can substitute certain ingredients for others (fish with chicken, almonds with pecans, etc.). Overall I love the amount of recipes you get. Most other toddler books we have are scant with recipes and a lot of the recipes are easy finds online. This is a definite buy for someone who loves to cook and bring healthy, interesting variety to their normal routine. I’ll still stick with our usual pastas, chicken tenders and meatballs but will switch it up with recipes from this book once in a while. Asking a recipe book to have 100% amazing recipes is a hard ask but this does a great job compared to all the others. Definitely recommend this to my other mom friends it there!
