Macsuzy: I had two plants that I knew were incorrectly watered as soon as I got them home. Nothing I did helped. I saw the ad for these on Facebook, and bought two. The came the next day. I transplanted my plants, filled the base with water, set the planter in the base and within two days my plants were thriving. Now if they have smaller sizes I’m buying them. All my plants deserve correct watering, and I have one less thing to be concerned about. Win-Win.

Carol: I have sadly killed a ridiculous amount of plants in my time (I'm 64). When my Dad passed I took one of the plants hoping I could keep it alive. I bought the 1st one of these planters because of the little spout ... I bought 5 more of them because it kept my Dad's plant alive for 9 yrs and the plants from my Daughter's passing for over a year. As long as you keep water in the bottom even someone with a black thumb as mine can have crazy healthy plants.

Isolde: I transplanted a poor ZZ plant rootbound in its previous container to this self-watering pot. Self-watering was key since the previous decorative pot had a gap between the bottom of the pot and the saucer, basically making it really difficult to dole out water where my poor green friend could reach it.
The Good:
The pot serves its purpose well without any surprises. It's a nice lightweight design with enough heft to the plastic that it holds up to regular use. I didn't fear the cat or a child bumping the pot would tip it over, important when I've got a few pounds of soil, plant, and water in there.
The base is steady and the simple design is attractive. I wish it came in more colours but the white looks great. Assembling it took seconds, and the self-watering function works wonderfully. Simply tap the self-watering bit in, and slowly water the plant. Done. I have a happier ZZ plant, no spills on the floor, and no more root binding!
The Bad:
The self-watering spigot flips off the pot fairly easily once it's in place. It doesn't snap down or stay strongly secured, so be careful not to dislodge it. I would have liked a better clip mechanism.
