Amazon Customer: I purchased this for moving. While it does make moving boxes easier, it does not have rubber wheels that give, aka pneumatic tires. These are hard rubber wheels. Trying to drag this up or downstairs is a pain. The price was fine and the overall quality was fine. Trust me...skip the hard rubber wheels and go for pneumatic tires.

Brunnhilde: This is a fine little hand truck for moving medium-heavy pieces around your place. You may want to use some bungees to hold objects in place while moving them. The tires are solid rubber, not pneumatic, but that can be an advantage if you don't want to mess with flat or low tires. The carpenter who is helping renovate my laundry room just used the hand truck to move the washer and dryer into my garage so that the delivery people can take them away when they come with my new appliances, and he said it worked just fine.

James R. ShunamonJames R. Shunamon: After reading the other reviews here I was a bit apprehensive about ordering this item but it was right within my budget so I decided to take the chance.

It arrived poorly boxed but in one piece with no broken welds or wheels falling off as others have reported. It did have places where the paint was missing as you can see in the picture i included. This leads me to believe I may have received a used item. I also have to say that the welds do not look very sturdy, and that the wheel hubs are plastic, not metal. I wish they had disclosed this in the product description.

Overall, it did the job it was purchased for, which was to move a new 87 pound freezer chest into our apartment with no issues. It will come in handy for some other things that need to be moved around as I have pretty bad back issues, however, even though it's rated up to 600 pounds I'm not sure i would trust it to move more than a couple hundred pounds at most.

Keep these things in mind if you decide to take the chance on ordering.

Dolph Amick: I was moving out of my house, and decided that it made sense to own a good, solid, simple hand truck rather than renting one from U-Haul repeatedly. I'd tried the inexpensive folding hand trucks that some friends own, but they were always flimsy and hard to manage. This one was a nice balance of heavy-dutiness and cost. Mine came in good shape, with both cotter pins, thankfully. I'm SO glad I bought it. It's quite hardy, supporting some huge loads, and weathering getting thrown end-over-end out of a container truck onto asphalt a couple of times. It's really saved my back... I found a lot more uses for it around the house than I was expecting, and I have no doubt we'll be using it for years. This unit is also a really good size for me; it was big enough for me to move some mid-sized articles of furniture and stacks of crates, but small enough to maneuver well around corners. Very pleased customer!
