Alexander: Very happy with this tea. I frequently drink Lapsang Souchong from several competitors where the taste is pure thick smoke, but Harney & Sons offer a more nuanced taste--still smoky as it should be, but with an undertone of some dry herbs like maybe mint and St. John's wort--very delicious, I am pleasantly surprised by the taste of this tea.

J.R.: This is my first Harney tea I purchased after it was recommended. I prefer black tea in the morning and usually buy Earl Grey. This English Breakfast was delicious. It doesn’t get bitter even when I accidentally steep it too long. Its very flavorful and I find a teaspoon the right amount for me.
The tin is VERY full. They fill it to the top. So be careful when opening for the first time. I spilled some.

dvdgal: I bought it when it was on sales for $9. It won't worth it if it's $30+ . Strong tea with caffeine and chocolate flavor but I can't taste and smell the aroma of black tea. Please note that the ingredient list does contain artificial flavoring, which means it can be anything that contains chemical.

Seth: The thing will surprise you is the flower/fruity smell, however when you brew it it's much more mild in that regard. Overall it taste very good, cream and sugar is a strong recommendation.
The quality is immediately better than anything you buy at a superstore. You do not taste that bitterness in cheaper tea taste which is really nice.
Now is this the best tea? to most this will be, to me I had better. Organic Origins have fantastic black tea that is fermented for 5 years that taste out of this world, but as you'd expect, they are more expensive Harney ($30 per 100g). For value this is where I give 5 stars as Harney is good tea AND affordable.
