Very thin material seems to be okay to keep water out if there are no winds to blow the cover off.
This was a replacement cover, I doubt it will last a year vs over 16yrs of my previous cover.
There is no way to tighten the elastic around the paddle boat. I had to use wood planks to keep the cover on. Then water pools in the low areas so I’d still need to bail out the paddle boat. Only good to keep debris out.

I bought this product to replace my existing pedal boat cover since the existing one kept sagging and had also torn. This cover did NOT last one rain. First of all, it does not secure well to the boat. Secondly, even after placing objects in the boat, under the cover, to help prevent sagging and ponding of rainwater, the cover sagged anywhere possible, allowing water to drain into the boat. The sagging and ponding of water on the cover forces the cover off of the boat so that a corner, or side, or entire boa is now exposed and collecting water. I feel like a cardboard box with saran wrap would have done a better job than this product.

bought one last year and it was fine for the summer, but tore this past week, material just gave out, unable to take the sun. used it during the past winter , but covered it with two std tarps, the weave was tight enough along with water repellent spray to make it pretty near water proof , but there is no way it will get tight enough so it will not sag and therefore it collects pockets of water - we put beach balls in boat to improve tension and it helped -- i would not rely on this for long term but ok for summer

The cover fits nicely around my paddle boat, however, water is pooling where your feet go. It's a good quality cover, but hard to stop pooling.

It is a little small and blows off easily. You can not have any ropes or bumpers tied to the boat with the cover on. It works okay, probably better than a tarp. Definitely worth the price.
