I’m having trouble keeping the characters straight - especially with the use of birth names, courtesy names, and titles - but that’s where the search feature and the glossary come in handy. ;-)
I like Wei Wuxian. According to his reputation, he’s supposed to be the bad guy, but there’s no sign of that in his personality or behavior.
I find Lan Zhan fascinating. What happened to him during the 13 years that Wei Wuxian was dead? What’s really going on inside his head? How exactly DID he figure out that Wei Wuxian was inside a new body? Hopefully, all these questions will be answered soon. *rubbing hands together in anticipation*

The book is AMAZING. The story is sooo captivating and beautiful. I love the way it's translated and is able to transfer the emotions so well. The glossary and character information part in particular are really helpful.
I also love the illustrations and the quality of the pages in general.
The only minor thing I wish was different was the cover page. I think it would have been better to have a hard cover instead. I carry the book around in my bag and I'm stressed about getting it damaged. This is just a personal thing I guess, and doesn't make the book any less perfect.

I had to read the books that the Untamed (Chinese costume drama) was based on and it did not disappoint. The books are translated from Chinese to English so some of the grammar is different. Which doesn’t bother me in the slightest, but I’ve seen a lot of reviews from people that harp to no end on this subject. THANK YOU for the English version!!!!

I am one of many that have watched the show and fell in love and just had to read the book after to relive and get all the details the show pulled. And I was not disappointed. This book is a work of art the work building and the detail the story all beautiful. And the translation is good too.
100% worth the buy.
Not to mention the book itself is gorgeous!

I've watched both the live-action and the animated shows and loved them. So, I am so happy to finally be able to read the novel. While I love the shows, the novel is just more captivating to me. I have a hard time putting it down whenever I start reading it. I just want to keep going. Very well paced and written with fun and interesting characters.

Me encantó la experiencia de leer este libro, en este primer volumen se abarca el misterio en la casa Mo, la montaña Dafan, cuando Wei WuXian estudió en Gusu y conoce a Lan Zhan, los fantasmas acuáticos, la cresta Xinglu, para terminar cuando se dirigen hacia la ciudad Yi. Me emocionó llegar a varios momentos icónicos como la escena de los nísperos, los conejos, la primera borrachera de Lan Zhan, entre otras.
Además, el libro esta bellamente ilustrado (solo por las ilustraciones vale la pena), y al final contiene una guía de nombres, y un glosario de términos que son de mucha utilidad para entender bien la historia. En cuanto a la traducción está bastante bien.
