Bobby C.: Making some paint stencils on my Cricut Maker 3 with these plastic sheets. Reviews here (and youtube tutorials) say to use this, one of the wood material settings and the knife blade. I tried that and totally failed after 10 passes and over and hour of cutting.

Then I tried to use the posterboard material setting with the stock fine point blade (someone here mentioned posterboard). And it cut PERFECTLY (a fairly detailed stencil) in about 3 minutes (2 passes). Maybe it'll dull my blade quickly, I don't know..but my first cut with this setting was fast and easy.

Thinner material than I expected, but sturdy enough for my use.

Maggie MaeMaggie Mae: Was concerned when I opened the package from Amazon because the product was not packaged in the protective cardboard covering with the identifying logos, however I matched the ID numbers and the item is the same. I docked one star because the label with the sticker which showed the ID number was stuck to one of the sheet of mylar underneath, this would not have happened if the items were packaged with the cardboard sleeve as shown in the picture on the Amazon website, and at the price per sheet that rather annoyed me. I use this product for making painting stencils, the setting on my Cricut 3 is set to "custom" and then I select "mylar" as the medium in the Cricut program, I have NEVER had a problem making stencils with this product. Buying a 25 pack was a little less expensive the doing the smaller 12 packs

Carolyn: Product was great for Cricut. the delivery mode was not. Despite note on account to bring to door not leave at street (can't see the street from house) It was bent to fit into mailbox that is for newspaper only. Not good!

Mrs McGMrs McG: Used this with a knife blade and my Cricut maker and made a cake charm and a number topper. I can’t find this acrylic in the UK but fortunately Amazon US have it. This 020 acrylic is the thickest acrylic you can successfully use with the Cricut Maker, I tried and 040 and it’s too thick. It only takes around 6 passes to cut really well. I then overlaid the topper and charm with adhesive metallic foil.
I’m a cake maker and these charms and toppers are so expensive to buy so I’m really happy I can make them myself.

Mark One: I had seen where people were using this in their Silhouette Cameos to cut out stencils. I have had the hardest time trying to get them to cut...HERE'S WHY? I'd been using the blade that has been in my machine for about three years. I don't do a lot of cutting, that's going to change now because I've started making cards.

YOU MUST HAVE A NICE SHARP BLADE, PREFERABLY A NEW ONE!

I didn't realize how dull my blade was, but I had an unused one so I changed to a new blade and VOILA! it cut right through...in fact I cut a hole in my mat. I was just cutting a 1/4" square to see if I could make it through and I still had my blade set at 10, so it cut through the plastic and the mat. I changed the blade depth to 5 and it cut almost all the way around a design, but a few spots didn't cut and made getting the stencil out a little difficult. This is rather thin plastic and a little on the fragile side, so you want the blade to do all the work and not have to bend or damage the plastic manually. I changed the multi-pass to 3 times and it worked like a charm. Pulled up the plastic sheet and the stencil stayed on the mat, one piece and was easy to remove with the metal...

Nicole D.: We had some electric landscape lighting installed a couple weeks ago, and noticed that the LED bulbs were VERY bright and blinding as-is. We thought that maybe there was a little light-diffusing insert that we may have accidentally tossed with the packaging, but it turns out that is the way they were designed. Weird. Anyway, I'm my father's daughter and started thinking up some solutions that might work to diffuse the light. I picked up these .007 plastic sheets (sheets, plastic sheets) and ordered separately ALZO white nylon silk diffusion fabric. I cut a square of fabric the size of one of these sheets (12"x12", I think), and used spray adhesive to get the fabric to adhere to the sheet of plastic. From there, I cut a little curved template out that would fit down inside the "cage" that sits around our light. It worked PERFECTLY for what I intended it to do. It's heavy enough to maintain it's shape, but thin enough that I was able to curl it around inside the light. The way the tops screw on the lights, we were able to just drop these little guys in and replace the caps. Voila! No more blinding bulbs!
