Get ready to enjoy the best surround sound experience with the GPX HT050B 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System.Brian Hoffman: I needed a surround sound setup for my new basement PC gaming area and decided to take a chance on these speakers. First thing to note is if you are hooking up to a PC you need a 3.5mm to 2RCA female adapter to use the speakers. I am extremely impressed with the sound quality when gaming, listening to music and watching movies. With the speakers crudely setup in my temporary area these putout enough sound that i can crank the volume up and enjoy my music when I am upstairs cooking! This product has a great cost benefit ratio as the cost is very low and the results are very high! I will update in a year and see if they are still putting out the same quality sound as they do today.

Supercoupe: The thing says multiple audio inputs, yeah left and right ! .....The sound from my phone is louder, the sub is the only thing thats not half bad. No optical input either. The speaker wires are about long enough to wire a cardboard box, if thats where you happen to live, your golden.

Eric: I purchased this system twice because of the price fit my budget because I'm disabled. The first one I bought lasted only about 3-4 months when 2 channels stopped working. I knew it was out of warranty but I needed a sound system and it was the best price. So I purchased it again because it did have a good sound and I thought maybe I just got a lemon. Well the second one lasted about the same amount of time then all of the channels went out ! I contacted the company and they wouldn't do anything about it other than give me 40% off another set from their website. With their 40% off made it the same price as it was on Amazon !!! So that would mean I could just purchase another one for the same price that I paid for the first 2!!! I ask the lady to have a supervisor to call me back but they never did ! So now I'm out over $80 and still don't have a sound system !!! I can't be the only one that this has happened to with that system. It has to be a design flaw and I'm sure they are aware of it ! It's sad when a company doesn't stand behind their product . I even offed to just meet them in the middle and pay half price but the supervisor never called me back !

This lengthy description should answer a lot of the common FAQs I read while doing my research.
After my exhaustive search for a sound system that I could use at my camper for "Movie Night on the Deck", I settled on this one. It packs the most punch for the price. I unpacked everything and set up all of the speakers according to their designated positions. It is extremely easy to figure out how to hook up the speakers to the subwoofer. The end of each speaker's cord has a different color (red, blue, green, yellow, & white), which matches the color of the RCA plug to which each corresponds (e.g. red-to-red, blue-to-blue, etc.) I arranged & spaced them out as intended, plugged in the subwoofer to the outlet, and then connected the subwoofer to my laptop via the provided RCA cable and an RCA-to-3.5mm adapter (not included). I used this adapter because my laptop has only 1 line-out port, and the provided RCA cable has a left & right.
I measured the length of each speaker's cable. I did not count the RCA connector. I started with the cable and measured to the back of the speaker. Front Left = 57" (4'9") | Front Right = 57" (4'9") | Center =...

Jake:
The speakers without bass are really tinny and cheap but with the subwoofer on you couldn't really hear the tinny effect and sounded really nice for the price. the subwoofer isn't nothing fancy but can deep pretty deep with full bass it sounded almost like a theater the only thing breaking it back is the bass loudness and the speakers. the speakers are made with plastic with a cloth cover it has a removable stand but be careful with the cable it can rip very, very the speakers don't sound scratchy which is good just keep bass and its good. the subwoofer it made out a mdf thats on the thin side. the subwoofer gets very deep and is nice! I would recommend!
NOTE: if your going to buy this please keep in mind to change the volume you have to change it on the subwoofer unless your tv changes the output volume mine didn't so I used this as a pc speaker setup.
hope my review helps you :)

The sub-woofer didn't seem to be working when I first hooked it up. Don't call manufacturer customer service for help because they have no advice and just want you to send everything back to them at your expense. By disconnecting the five mini-speakers I was able to confirm that the sub-woofer was working, it's just very weak.
For a sound set-up, I like to use the opening battle scene from The Fellowship of the Ring. Lots of metal clashing, good music and when Sauron explodes there is a powerful bass that should shake your teeth! My new tv has no bass, so when Sauron explodes there is almost complete silence with a few clatters from people falling down. That's why I bought this set!
The knobs are not marked 1 to 10 but if you imagine those numbers were on the knobs, I have bass turned to 10 and volume turned to 2 and it sounds pretty good for my small apartment. (Volume on 3 is far too loud ). The factory installed stereo speakers on my old RCA tv still sounded better but for my new flat screen, this set of speakers is a much needed addition.
For the price, they do the job. Barely.
