Mama Lena: The price was good, but you get what you pay for. These are very functional, but the shiny surface on the top of each one started to discolor and is continuing to do so. I have these on my boat deck in racks 99%+ of the time in the PNW (Portland) in a fresh water environment and this started in the 1st year. After just 2 years, it spread over the entire top of each fender (I have 4).
If you don't mind them getting kind of ugly quickly - no problem. Another option is to store in a covered/protected area or purchase covers for them. (I'll try and add pics later).

These are not intended for long-term storage in the water. You will just have to bite the bullet and buy more expensive ones for that
