The Garmin 010-03723-01 Approach S20 is the perfect golf companion for any golfer. This GPS golf watch is equipped with an auto-shot round analyzer that accurately measures shot distances and records them for post-round analysis. The 0.9" LCD screen makes it easy to read and operate, and Bluetooth smart and ANT+ connectivity make it simple to use. It also comes preloaded with courses and features step tracking. When it comes to accuracy, customer support, design, and overall performance, this is one of the best Golf Course GPS Units on the market.Victoria K: Good quality

Amazon Customer: Couple things I really like about this watch -
1. Unless you are golfing more than once a week, you hardly ever need to charge it
2. Distances are accurate. In playing with other golfers with other more expensive devices, my yardages are always within a couple yards.
3. About as easy as it gets to edit scorecards.
4. Nice to be able to pass phone notifications through to the device so I don't have to open my phone. I had an Apple watch and seeing text notifications pop up is a really nice convenience. Glad this watch can do that.
Couple things I don't like -
1. Even though it's not top of the line, I really miss having the features of S60 or S62, at least yardages to bunkers and water. All I can find on this watch is lay up distances.
2. I don't like that there isn't a back light. When you're in the dark, you can't see what time it is or use the watch.
Overall, I'm happy with the value.

RJD: Usage - I use this only as a golfing device not as an activity device - so this review is strictly for it's golf functionality. The other proviso is that Garmin instructions suck - although ultimately the watch is easy to use, I had to do some research and trial and error to figure out how to make it work and some of their instructions are not only incomplete but also inaccurate. However, once figured out, this watch has been extremely good on the course. GPS works as well as any other one. The biggest upside for me with this watch is the auto shot tracking w/ club selection. This does NOT require the "automatic club tracking" little sensors to stick in the end of your club. If you select the "track clubs" option in one of the menus, it asks you to put in your average driver distance. Then on the course, each time you hit a full to half shot, it registers the shot. After you take the shot, the watch displays the estimated club you use based on your distances and the distance remaining to the green. Use the up and down buttons to choose the actual club you hit and press the "OK" button and the shot is registered and will show up in Garmin Connect on your phone or computer once the...

Paul: This is my second Garmin approach. I have owned the original S1 and the strap finally broke. As it cannot be replaced I looked for a new watch. The Approach S20 had everything I wanted and the quality of the S1 meant I wanted another Garmin. It has proven that Garmin are the best golf rangefinder watches, for me at least.
I have marked the touch screen as just 4 star. I have not used it yet and I don't need to the way I use the watch. I don't think that the addition of touch to the screen is much of a help to me, but it does not detract from the products strengths. Some may find it worthwhile but for me it is a gimmick. The tracking facilities are excellent, especially with the advent of Garmin Golf this year.
This is my best golf buy this season. Yes, it does help you improve. I will not give it all the credit for a recent spate of good form but it must get some of the accolades. It helped me get some much needed consistency to the length of my shots and it was much better than the old S1 in this respect.
It is worth every penny.
The sales experience? Was excellent, packaged well and arrived in first class condition.

An Educated Consumer: Bought this as a gift in black and one for myself in white and have been testing it out for the past few weeks, both on the golf course AND as a sports watch. LOVE all the features although I haven't downloaded the app to save the stats yet. This watch is loaded with features. For golf, it searches and loads the course you're about to play. Then it prompts you if you want to keep score, track which club you're using and, if you purchase the optional Tru-Swing device you can choose to have your GARMIN S20 display your golf swing. Or, you can download the Tru-Swing app to your smartphone and view your golf swing on your phone. But getting back to the features built in to the S20, it displays yardage to hazards and traps, pin placement on the green and, if your tracking which golf clubs you use for each stroke it'll track the distance you hit each of them. At the end of the round it displays your score, number of putts, number of steps you walked during the round, time it took to play the round. When you're not playing golf this watch will track the number of steps you take, push the down button to display your goal, push down again it displays number of miles down to 2 decimal...

Bobbysan: Been playing with the S20 for 5 rounds now. I was using the S4 previously and also use a laser range finder to get precise distances for shot within 150 yards. Overall the watch is very good. There is a learning curve if you have been using a watch with a touch screen which this does not have. PROS: Distances seem to be very accurate as I compare it to the laser quite often. Connects to GPS very quickly and has every course I play in SoCal. Distance to and to clear hazards, which the S4 does not have was a big plus in this model. Graphics are clear and easy to see in sunny conditions (not so great if you are using polarized sun glasses). Band is comfortable and fits my small wrists nicely. Band keeper is very secure, sometimes a little difficult to get the band into the keeper, but once it's in there, it's not coming out, if you're coming from using another Garmin watch, you're used to it. Battery life is VERY good from previous models. One of the main reasons I switched from the S4 is I could never get 2 rounds in, the battery just would not last that long. I have not played back to back rounds with the S20 yet, but after one 4.5 hour round I still have on average 75% left on the...

Ken M.: Amazing product have the S20 for about 5 years now. Very accurate & reliable compare to my other golfing buddies who has other brands which gives them a hard time with distance etc. always asking me what I've for distance lol.
