Terri L. Manning: There is not much choice out there for a 15" lid. This one works but it's already corroding and it's super thin. If it's stainless steel it's just a film coating of stainless steel over tin or something.

TerriTerri: Unless you desperately need a lid this size, don't bother. It is made from really thin-gauge aluminium and not worth the money. And food stains are somehow etching into the surface after a few months of use. And the lid distorts and goes out of shape due to the thin aluminium it is made from.

Buyer Galore: I've used it twice. Though far lighter in weight than typical lid, it stayed on the frying pan and served its purpose fine. I did notice when drying the lid after washing it that the drying cloth got light black staining wherever it was doing the drying. Some kind oxidation or some temporary coating coming off I don't know

happy ears, smart head: I bought it as a wok cover and it fits my large wok exactly. My only tip is know that’s it’s very thin metal, which means it can bend pretty easily. You have to be careful in storing it – it can’t be placed against heavier lids or cookware, which could easily bend and ding it.

Nancy A.: I ordered this lid for a 14 inch pan and most universal lids stop at 12 inch mark. The item was well packaged however I had two dents on the lid. Like the other reviews have said for the price it should be made of a quality material. It is very much like something you would buy from a dollar store, very flimsy.

C Dill: I have a large 16 inch fry pan that I could not find a cover to fit. This one fits it with room to spare.

The thickness and sheerness ratings that the system asks for I have no idea about what they mean or how they relate to functionality of the this cover??? As for the value for money rating that the system asks for, I have to say it was on the pricey side but since there was no other cover out there of this size, I have to give it four stars on that aspect.

Overall I am very pleased with the cover since it is light aluminum for ease of handling, it covers any pot or pan, the handle is large enough to get a good grip on and is insulated so you do not burn your fingers when handing the cover.

Amazon Customer: I like this lid. Some reviews say it is too thin and bends easy. I have had no trouble with it bending. I would probably make it bend with my bare hands, but it's nice for it to be light and is quite large. It's easy to handle. I cram it in my pots and pan cabinet and it hasn't gotten dented. it has gotten some discoloration from condensation, but I don't worry about that. it happens. You probably can use Bar keepers Friend to shine it up, but I haven't felt the need to do so. I would buy it again. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a little thin (which makes it easier to clean and handle by the way)

Dr. Loomis: This is a very thin, very light weight, but rigid enough lid that it covers my 15" cast iron skillet like it is supposed to. If you are not very careful with this lid, it can be very easily bent, so handle it like fine china at all times and put no weight on it. Upon my first use of this thing I was cooking rice'a'roni in my 15" CI skillet and after cooking I had already stained about 10% of the middle of the underside of the lid a light brown color in a splotchy pattern (the borders touching the cast iron pan were fine). I scrubbed with a regular sponge, soap and water, but to no avail, that stain is a reaction of the metal itself. Perhaps I will have to coat the underside in some sort of food grade mineral oil in order to avoid further discoloration. I dont really think the color change should matter much, but it was still disappointing to see it occur. For the price of this lid, I cannot really complain, though next time around I might opt for a stainless steel lid instead of this thing, which I think is some sort of aluminum alloy.
