ElisaElisa: I do yoga on my back porch and Florida summers are brutal no matter how early in the morning it is. I was always slipping and sliding on my mat. This towel is the solution! It's soft, comfortable and super absorbent. From the other reviews, yes it does not always stay in place. I expected this might be an issue when I first purchased it but it hasn't bothered me that much. It has made a huge difference in my yoga routine. So glad I bought it!

Cheesebelle: Perfect size (I measured my yoga mat and selected the size closest to that), and it's soft and absorbent, while still keeping me comfortable. I do hot/infrared yoga, and this towel is perfect! Highly recommend. Washes well.

healthygirl: I have a couple of these and use them for Hot/Bikram yoga. I put this towel over the Gaiam travel yoga mat and they work perfectly together. I like to wash my mat & towel after every class and this towel and the travel mat are thin enough to put right in the washing machine. You can't do that with a regular mat, it's too thick. I've machine washed them dozens of times in warm water with detergent (no fabric softener) and they've held up great! I have even dried them on low and they come out fine, but most of the time I just hang dry.

Orange Prop:
I am a recent convert to hot yoga...and I have to say I am "all in"! My first few classes were sans towel and just used a hand towel which did nothing but clean up my face. I next tried a beach towel which I THOUGHT would work but caused more problems than using just the mat. I spent every pose trying to lay the towel flat and frankly was just frustrated with my setup and not able to enjoy the session. So, I finally listened to my wife and purchased the Gaiam Thirsty Yoga Towel. Well...she was right!
First, the fit is perfect with my Gaiam mat. I am 5'10" and it fits perfect in plank and I can keep my toes to face completely on the towel. ZERO ISSUES during my session. The towel stayed put and soaked up massive amounts of seat over the 1.25 hour session. Will it last a lifetime? Probably not, but for the money, it is a steal.
Pros:
Great looking towel that fits standard yoga mats perfectly.
Soaks up more sweat than you can imagine.
STAYS PUT no matter how many times you switch positions!
Cons:
None so far...

Kenzie:
I bought this towel a few days ago and started using it this week. I don't see a huge difference between this and an ordinary towel except that it is longer and lighter. The towel covered the whole mat and is easy to carry around compared to the normal bath towel. It is very lightweight. It does tend to move during my bikram yoga practice so I have to constantly fix it and it also does not prevent slipping. Another con of the towel is it has to be line dried and cannot go into the dryer. I'm afraid this can be a problem during the winter since I practice rather regularly. I am not sure how fast the towel will dry during the winter without using the dryer. I am currently alternating this towel with my normal bath towel. Compared to the more expensive towels, this is an OK towel - not the best or the greatest, but serves its purpose (especially when you have to take public transit to get to the studio). I will wait and see how this towel holds out before deciding if I want to buy the more expensive ones.
11/08/10 UPDATE: I have been using this towel for awhile and starting to really like it. I bought another one of these for my bikram yoga...

Mrs L K Patel: Perfect for covering over an exercise mat. Absorbs sweat and does not slip. Gives an extra layer when lying down on your mat. Makes a great gift too.
