Seriously though this little slice of bubble bath heaven is a lot bigger than I expected! I'm 5'10" 175, so not a petite person at all and there is plenty of room. I can soak up to my chin comfortably. And being bouyant makes it so you're not totally sitting on your rump!!! I love love love this tub!!!

KimKim: Some pros and cons to this thing. I can tell when weather is shifting like I'm an old sailor (I feel it in my bones!) On extreme barometric pressure days the only thing that helps is a hot bath. I just moved and no longer have a tub, so after a lot of searching chose this XL soaking tub.
Here are the pros and cons I've run into so far after a month.
The good:
I fit!! I don't have to play the game of knees or boobs underwater (if you know, you know). I'm a larger person and was worried I would feel like I was trying to squeeze into or out of a wetsuit. Instead I have room to spare! I also like not having to tilt all the way back to soak more than just my legs. I can sit cross legged, kneeling, knees bent, or on my shower stool. I don't have to fill it to the top if I'm sitting without a stool, and can use the inflatable ring as a pillow.
Downsides... Well, don't be like me and get so excited you put it in the shower and fill it, enjoy a bath, and then realize the very full and heavy tub is covering the shower drain like a giant suction cup. Trying to pull up the sides of the tub and peel up the floor to access the drain was an Olympic event. Then I played the game of...

After about nine (9) months of use, the hard plastic drainage spout broke off of my tub. My husband was able to re-affix the spout to the broken piece remaining attached to the tub. He used some kind of thick, moldable plastic epoxy and tried several types of glue to make the fix.

Almost exactly one year after purchase (a few months after the repair), the repaired drainage spout again broke off. We tried to fix it again, but it was harder to get a good seal with the now uneven surface from the former repair. I just purchased a new tub to replace the original.

The same size tub is now a few dollars cheaper than when I made the initial purchase. I calculate my cost as $0.21 per day if I need to replace this tub once per year. I benefit enough from this product to make that worthwhile, though I wish I could purchase a similar tub with a metal drainage valve as that is the only part of my tub showing any wear and tear.

I got exactly what I wanted with this item, and felt the price was reasonable for the utility of the tub and the fairly small market in the USA for this type of product.
