Mrs Yoshi: This hat was much bigger than I thought which is great because it really protects my head from the sun. I live in Florida and I bought this because the sun is so harsh on your hair here, that it starts changing it a different color. I got mine in a beautiful lavender color. I wear it on break at work all the time and get compliments from everyone in the area.

Donna Lesko: Attended 50th wedding anniversary; I was original maid of honorand wore a hat like ths is. What great nostalgia of 50 years ago. My sister loved the dressing the same as 50 years ago. Uriel Zapata: Se lo compre a mi esposa, en donde vivimos el sol amanece de malas siempre, entonces ella lo usa para tender la ropa, dice que la protege muy bien del sol, que lo unico malo es la tira que trae para sujetarlo, ya que es de elastico, tiene temor cuando este deje de funcionar, ya que no le ve como cambiarlo por una tira o un hilo. Por cierto, se atrevio a pedirlo porque lo modela muy bien una perrita, en uno de los comentarios =)

Kristina Calafiore: So overall the hat is great. I love how you can just fold it up, put it in your bag and go. It's stylish and light weight and covers your face from the sun well but it comes with little clips to keep the strand on it (that prevents the hat from falling off when the wind blows) and they get lost VERY easily.
I was wearing it at the beach and one fell off into the sand and that was a wrap. If there is any sort of wind blowing it flies right off and goes on it's way in the wind. Defeats the WHOLE purpose of wearing the hat. either they need better clips or the strings need to be attached to the hat. After I lost the clip I couldn't wear the hat at all because it would just fly right off in the wind. Very annoying and disappointing after the price tag on the hat.

FantasticallyFrugalFantasticallyFrugal: I absolutely love this hat! It is just the right amount of extra in the most perfect and fun way. The color is SO pretty in person and is exactly as soon in the photos. This hat also fits well - be sure to read the size guide carefully don't just guess. And, it protects my head, face from the sun as well as most of my neck/decollete while outside when I angle the brim downwards - *while* also being breathable!! This is a huge factor for me, my head/face sweats so much and I didn't want a hat that made it worse. This hat does the opposite and actually keeps me much cooler! I wear this hat nearly daily, on walks and in the garden. When I'm not wearing this one, I am wearing a more "tame" tan with black sash one with a smaller brim by the same brand. I am a repeat customer now.
I fully encourage anyone interested to go ahead and get it! It arrived fast via Prime and was not folded in half or heavily wrinkled!!! It also comes with a detachable chin strap but I don't use that.
The two reasons for it being 4.5 and not 5 are:
1) I really wish the adjustable strap inside the hat was elastic OR had a grip to help hold the adjusting. Instead it has a thin ribbon, so while...

No doubt this blocks the sun but it's also a statement piece. Meaning you'll get statements such as: "Whoa, that's one big-A$$ hat" or "That looks stunning". Only you know if you can pull it off.
Great fashion accessory. Pairs well with big sunglasses, black mini & maxi dresses. Poolside or at the beach. Avoid wind as this will catch like a sail! I flip the front brim back if needed. I also use a pin with a flower attached if it's getting too floppy.
If you have folds or wrinkles from shipping, mist lightly, stuff with bags, clothing and set on a flat surface. Should be good to go!
