AAU: To start, this headlamp is really nice. It is bright, and very comfortable to wear, however, the batter life described in the user manual is actually about half. On the lowest setting, and according to manual, battery life is expected to be about 13 hours, but in reality, my headlamp's battery life was only less than 6 hours. I still appreciate the lamp, but am disappointed that battery life is not as described, which is why I bought the lamp to begin with. Foxelli products are generally excellent, but this one, in my honest opinion, doesn't represent Foxelli's product quality well.

Nick: Here's the deal, So i've had around 4 or 5 of these over the past few years in working in the construction environment. Most were lost, one broke due to the power button (internally) snapping off the pcb board. One died due to the clear protection cover tearing and too much moisture getting in. Only BIG thing I wish they'd fix on these is the charge port... its 2022........ PUT A DARN TYPE-C CONNECTION on it already.... hate having to fiddle with that right before bed. Light itself is great, on low brightness, lasts me all shift long, even on 14 hr days.

pros:
1. great FOV
2. fairly lightweight
3. lasts all day on low setting mode (+ 10 hours)
4. bright enough in the 5-10ft range, perfect if you work in the trades and hate having a spot light beaming and glaring your work area.

CONS:
1. STILL HAS MICRO USB IN 2022......why?
2. great on your head, not so much on a hardhat, also doesn't come with helmet grabs
3. Little red charging light can be difficult to see at times,

Kris Bryant: Wow! This thing is amazing! I think it's the best headlamp I've ever used, and I've had many. I've never experienced a headlamp that lit up my whole surroundings. Makes it MUCH easier to work or walk or do whatever you're doing out in the dark. It's very bright. I took it for a test drive deep in the woods on a moonless overcast night and and on the brightest setting I could see a good 100 feet in front of me (and to the sides). On the lowest setting I could still see over 50 feet. I could see the ground as well as up into the trees without moving my head. It's really wonderful. It makes me feel much more confident walking out in the woods because I'll be able to see a hazard nearby that would be hidden on my dark sides if using a normal headlamp. I will give one piece of advice: Don't wear it across your forehead. I think it's better positioned up a bit, like where you'd place a hair band up into your hairline. The reason is because it's just too bright to wear it that close to your eyes, or at least it was for me. When it's pointing upward a bit, it doesn't hurt your eyes and you can still see everything perfectly well, even the ground in front of you. You don't have to aim it...

Amazon Customer: I work construction. My headlamp from REI of 10 years stopped working. I choose the Foxelli based on the price, battery life, water resistance, and wide projection. I've been using it every day for about 2 weeks to do plumbing, sewer, concrete, ripping, demo, insulation, electrical, sheet rock, flooring. It has worked flawlessly.

If you're looking for an inexpensive yet performant headlamp, this one is pretty good. Here are my pros and deltas.

Pros
- No batteries to replace. My old one used alkalines which was a pain. This one charges via USB. I can charge it anywhere.
- Waterproofing seems OK. I've been soaked but not submerged. So far, so good.
- Wide light disbursement is nice.
- Battery life is great. I use the lowest setting and it has yet to fail on me. I worked 8 hours straight with it on low and it worked the entire time.
- Easy to use. One button. Easy to find with heavy work gloves on.
- Very light weight.

Deltas
