Roger O: One of the problems leaving the "Mother Land" of the New York Tri State area is the lack of availability of products you grew up on and learned to love. One of these is Fox's U-Bet chocolate syrup. Thank God for Amazon, and it's ability to offer local products heretofore unavailable outside of a specific geographic area.
Fox's U-Bet is a great chocolate syrup on it's own, but you've never had a "real" egg cream, until you've had one made with U-Bet! The price is a bit high, but to rekindle the taste of youth in New York, Absolutely Worth It!

Maria Marsala: As a Brooklynite, I grew up on these flavors. I can taste the difference in the plastic containers vs. glass (hint-hint). Also, the cap hinges need to be made stronger. I now have 3 different syrup flavors whose caps are not attached to the plastic bottle. This product is much cheaper in the tri-state area, (1/2 the price and more) where I hope to buy a bunch of them next time I visit. I made a chocolate soda for myself and a few hot chocolates for a little girl who enjoyed it. Will be making an egg cream today!
