Walter Osmond: Powerful! Descaled my water heater with this pump, 2 short garden hoses and a 5 gallon pail of vinigar. This created more force than I anticipated. The first time I used it the hose went crazy.

It drained the 5 gallons in seconds and totally cleaned a ton of crap out of my thankless water heater over about two hours.

I'm sure it would drain a hot tub in minutes and do a good job on a pool. (don't own a pool myself so just guessing.)

James and Debra Pierce: The pressure is good and works with a 100 foot garden hose. Only complaint is it jammed up twice with small debris. I’m going to wrap cheese cloth around it to prevent problems.

DPD: Overall this got the job done. The switch is a little sensitive. A bit tough to get the pump going when the pump is at the bottom of a pool with about a foot of water. But did work. Be sure that debres doesn't get into the suction holes or it will clog. I used a flower pot at the bottom and put the pump inside it. Just be sure to have enough flow through your container to keep up with the pump.

CleonCleon: The only con is getting room for the float switch movement in a small pit. ----- New pump, the second pump, the new pump does leak where the power cables exit the stainless housing. This leak is small and is caused by the top of the motor housing fitting to the underside of the stainless housing. (see first image)-- The first pump, the one I took apart still pumps but has some bearing noise. I have put the new pump in a 18"x24" fiberglass pit with 1/2" holes in the bottom which should keep out the stones that stalled the motor on the first pump for many hours and also keeps the float switch from hanging on the mud pit wall causing the pump to run for hours without water. I had to remove the bottom of the first pump several times to remove small stones, during this process I notice two of the four bottom mounting screw heads broke off, so I used zinc plated screws for a fix, bad idea, these screws eroded quickly so I purchased stainless M4-0.7x16mm screws that fixed this problem. (I checked the water ph which is 7, so I'm baffled what caused the zinc plated screws to erode)

Bruce BushBruce Bush: Working good... now that I fixed it. Did not work when received. Double checked instructions and priming, still no flow, but could hear motor turning. Since I’m a licensed mechanic and have worked on similar pumps, I took inlet cover off to inspect. Found but for impeller laying in bottom. Resecured nut on shaft with thread locking compound and installed cover. Working great now and that I’ve seen inside, looks like a durable case. Now to see if it will last as long as my previous pumps.

3Thirty3: Water, water everywhere...in the crawlspace.
So far this hefty 3/4 HP sump pump is doing its job well.
Like best the variety of adapters it comes with to attach garden hose or up to 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe.
Also nice long AC cord, float switch.
