MikedeABQ: I used one of these for approximately 30 years. It finally failed a few weeks ago. I had to replace it.
Great pen. Easy to carry in pants pocket. Writes ANYWHERE. Easy to replace the ink cartridge when it eventually runs out.
Many people ask about it when they see me use it. Is a great product.

DruDru: What EDC is complete with out a quality Fisher Bullet Space Pen. Writes everywhere in any temperature range. Compact size when closed and a perfect writing size when opened. This is my second Fisher Space Pen. Other one lasted me 8 years until I finally lost it.
Would have given it 5 stars but I wish I would have ordered one that came with a clip already. Was just a hassle to have to order an extra accessory.
You can't go wrong with a Space Pen, compact and perfect for EDC. And they write exceptionally well.
Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quality Pen for pocket carry.

Marius Z: Well, it does indeed work as advertised. Writes in all kinds of conditions that I've put it through so far, variety of temperatures and writing surfaces. I don't really care to test it underwater, or vacuum, but I will take the manufacturer's word for it. The ink laid down is a little thinner and less rich than I expected, I thought it would be more like a marker, but I guess it's a ball-point with special ink solution that's under pressure. Also as advertised, I just had a different pre-conception in my head.
The only real disappointment is lack of soft grip, and no clip. The pen not having a clip is a real bummer, because I expect to misplace and lose this pen in short order, and it's not cheap. A clip on the cover would allow one to attach it to something inside a backpack or purse or jacket or notebook, etc. Without, it just rolls around, and when you put the cap on, the pen is hardly bigger than a fry. This is a major oversight.
Also, the presentation/packaging is wasteful; the pen comes in a large, thick plastic clamshell box that's useless day to day that will be thrown away immediately.
Long term edit: about a year and a half in, both pens still...

Lasciel's Toy: I've never been one for fancy pens. I usually have enough cheap ones laying around from work that I typically have something to write with....while around work. That was my first big issue. As soon as I was in casual attire, pens just didn't work. you put one in you pocket and it's uncomfortable every time you lean over or sit. Maybe you try like I did and clip it onto the lip of your pocket. Now your flinging it out every time you try to pull something else out of your pocket. It just doesn't work.
I've heard of the Fisher Space Pen, hell, I'm sure everyone has at some point. I was just at the Orlando airport looking at some in the NASA store but it just never clicked for me to spend the money on a nicer pen. That is until I watched an EDC (Every Day Carry) video Adam Savage, from Myth Busters did[...]. He pulled this exact pen out of his pocket and spoke of how much of a life saver it was since he's always getting ideas. So he keeps one of these in his pocket, along with Field Notes Kraft Ruled 3-Pack
I bit the bullet and haven't regretted it since. Completely smooth and very small (about half the size of a typical pen when closed), I never leave home without it in...

J. Bruha: I really like this pen. When in use, the cap fits onto the back of the pen, making for a full size pen. When shut, the body of the pen (the part with the ink) collapses into the cap, almost cutting the size in half. When collapsed, I'd say the size is about the same length as a woman's lipstick, and just a little larger than half that diameter. The pen writes pretty smoothly, but more impressive, always seems to write. It will write in any position without skipping, as well as on things a ball point pen normally wouldn't write on, like dirty or greasy paper, cardboard, packing tape, etc. Never had I had to scribble on a 'clean' spot on the paper, to re-establish ink flow. The cap seals the ink from the elements with an O-ring, which also is what keeps the cap in place. The friction between the O-ring and the metal body is all that is holding the cap on. It is enough to keep the cap from falling off the pen when in your pocket or purse, but not much more. I believe this is by design, as there is no pocket clip or projection of any kind on the pen, closed or open. When closed, there is a barely detectable ridge, where the cap meets the body of the pen. To use, just pull both ends...

A. Butler: I bought this for my Dad over 10 years ago and he still loves it! Great value considering its longevity, you just need to replace the cartridge once in a while but the ink lasts a long time. Convenient size, fits in your pocket or handbag (I bought one for myself) easily and lightweight. Comfortable to write with, nothing too fancy on that front (but I have terrible handwriting anyway), main thing is that it’s always performed well.
