M. Fris: Simple is best. Sourdough rye crisps, few ingredients, high fiber and delicious flavor…what more could you want? Great with all kinds of cheese, olive tapenade, sardines, smoked salmon, etc., great price too!

mtspace: I will admit that I was expecting a different kind of rye crisp. These are hardly thicker than the cardboard of a manilla file folder. They are crisp and adequately strong to be spread with thick materials or carry bits of cheese, fish, or vegetables. They feature the robust flavor of rye, generously flavored with caraway.

I spread them lightly with Marmite yeast extract and top with Gouda cheese. This makes for a very satisfying evening snack, or something that works alone or with strong, dark sweet chai tea.

Hollywog: Normally I buy Wasa crackers, but decided to give these a try. They are considerably smaller than Wasa...thinner, slimmer etc. I am fine with that...just pointing it out.

They are very sturdy and crunchy. One cracker is 50 calories, but the crunch and necessary chewing will make you satiated when eating. I like to put either cheese, hummus, eggs, peanut butter...whatever suits your tastes...on them.

To be honest, because they are smaller (but denser?) - and more calories - than Wasa...I will likely stick to Wasa.

Flavor and texture wise, though, I do like these.

Maya BeWell: Bought to have with morning tea ( before exercise). Good substitutes for biscuits or cookies. I use it like biscotti- and dip it into my tea. Gives me fibre and carbs without the sugar rush. Keeps me full until breakfast ( 2-3 hrs away). Also great with dips, thin yet firm. I spread it with peanut butter or nutella- and its a energy booster for the mid afternoon cravings. Good replacement for bread- as made with all whole grain flours. Also a complement to salad and soups - to add a healthier version of croutons or breadsticks.
TIPS:
-best to keep in airtight container- to avoid sogginess
- when transporting- I apply a thin layer of oil- and then the spread of choice- the oil acts as a barrier to prevent mushiness. Wrap in parchment paper , and then put into lunch box.
