VickiVicki: I wish I could give more than 5 Stars to these gloves. Not only do they look great and feel great - they are functional. My hubby and I are learning to sail and part of the equipment list was gloves. I’m all about looks and function, so I took a chance on these gloves. I was worried that they would be too thin to really protect my hands. They weren’t. They were perfect. At one point high winds kicked in and my hubby had to stow the mainsail. I was at the helm keeping the boat steady but I also was holding the halyard line so the sail didn’t drop too fast. The rope ran over my gloves with no problem. If I wasn’t wearing gloves my hands would have been burned. If the gloves were too thick I wouldn’t have been able to work with the thinner lines. These gloves are amazing. I’m going to purchase more so I have extras in my sailing go bag.
