James J.: Used this wire to make short extensions to switch wiring in my motor home. Factory wiring was adequate, until something broke and I needed to troubleshoot it. I built extensions with a male 1/4" spade disconnect terminal on one end, and a female equivalent on the other. Being able to keep most of the color coding the same will make the job goof-resistant.

Nathan Fendley: This stuff worked great for adding aftermarket lights to my car, it's easy to solder and it doesn't melt from the heat of a soldering iron, unlike PVC. However, don't use this stuff in any environment where it will be exposed to fire, as the silicone burns like a fuse when lit, forming fumed silica, while PVC cannot be ignited in air.

john rambo: Acheté en taille awg 26 . Un peu cher mais la qualité est bonne . Les fils de cuivre étamés sont en quantité , la gaine silicone est bien régulière avec les fils de cuivre bien au centre (ça semble évident mais c'est rarement le cas sur du fil bas de gamme) , le silicone est souple et résiste bien à l'arrachement . La taille du fil est respectée . A part le prix c'est tout bon .

Adam J.: This wire is extremely flexible. It feels and bends like string which also means it won’t hold a shape or bend you put in it so if that’s a characteristic you need this is the opposite. If you need bendy string that can conduct electricity this is it.
It’s pretty fragile and you have to be careful stripping it or you can and probably will rip the end off instead. Give yourself a little extra on each end for when that inevitably happens. If you plan on using an old worn out pair of strippers with this you’re going to eat through it unless the size of the grooves in them are near perfect. A cheap pair work perfectly compared to the same ones used to rewire your house. It’s worth it to make the process effortless.

Natasha sturdevant: I've purchased this wire about 3 separate times now since I go through wire so quickly and this wire has become my absolute go-to! The benefits of silicon-based sheathing cannot be overstated. Stripping this wire is an absolute breeze and I tend to just use a pair of bog-standard kitchen scissors to strip it since a proper stripping tool is entirely unnecessary in order to get a perfect strip without cutting any strands of copper in the wire due to the silicon sheathing being easy to cut. The thickness of the wire is as advertised and the strands are easy to apply solder to. I heavily recommend this wire!
