Ms. Ree: I’ve been reading this to my son since before he could even talk. Now he tugs my hand and says “Daddy’s Arms. Read Mommy.” There used to be a time when I prayed he would talk so this book holds a special place in my heart. It’s so simple, but perfect! There are several teaching opportunities, pointing to pictures and demonstrating verbs; flying, sleeping etc. It’s also a good length. Not too long before bed and not so short that you have to read it five times, maybe two lol

Jacynda Cabrera: It’s so nice to highlight a book that’s about a dad and then it’s even great that this book choose to add a black father and son. I don’t see these types of books often. I made the purchase b/c my partner doesn’t get to have these types of books that embrace fatherhood and it’s important for my son to see this book promote representation.

Tee Roc: My daughter loves this book and calls it “Dada.” My guy doesn’t really get into reading with her, but seems to love reading this book to her. He’s animated with it. Great ode to good dads.

Amunah314: My family & I absolutely love this book. It’s super relatable & felt like it was talking about my husband. There’s not enough books out there highlighting dad’s. Great fathers especially fathers of color deserve to be appreciated & represented in children’s books. Thank you to the author & illustrator for bringing us closer to daddy’s arms !
