sarah elliott: This series called in the United States with people who are not white needs to be read by all of us because we weren’t taught this history in our classrooms for the last 500 years, so this is very important reading for everybody grab this book and read it, and then hand it to somebody in your family

ShaSeli: This was an informative work. What was concerning was that at times it was extremely repetitive appearing as if they were at a loss for something to say.

Fernan D Vargas: I purchased this book for a class that my wife was taking. I picked it up when she was done with it. I loved it. It was an insightful and sincere effort to shed light on a subject which is rarely written about.

KG: This book is rich in history. Introducing readers to stories seldom heard. The stories are heart wrenching, but also inspiring in the broader context of journey through today. Readers are left with the clear understanding that American public education is inadequate in its teachings of American history, especially in recounting the stories of Black people. I learned a great deal in reading this book.

I encourage everyone to add it to their home libraries.
