Morgan: "8 Little Planets: A Solar System Book for Kids with Unique Planet Cutouts" is like a rocket ride through the wonders of our solar system for young, eager minds.
The unique planet cutouts are like windows to the universe. They make learning about the planets an interactive and visually engaging experience for kids. Each cutout is like a sneak peek into the characteristics and features of the respective planets.
The language is like a gentle orbit through space - easy to grasp and inviting for young readers. It's like having a friendly astronaut guiding you through the cosmos, explaining facts in a way that's both educational and entertaining.
The illustrations are like twinkling stars in a clear night sky. They're bright, colorful, and capture the essence of each planet beautifully. It's like having a mini solar system come to life on the pages of a book.
The book is like a treasure map to the solar system, sparking curiosity and fueling young imaginations. It's a perfect launchpad for discussions, questions, and a lifelong fascination with space.
In summary: "8 Little Planets: A Solar System Book for Kids with Unique Planet Cutouts" - a stellar...

Fluff: Chris Ferrie has created the brilliant "... for Babies" series. We've bought loads of these for ourselves and as presents for others. We've recommended them to plenty of people as well. On the basis of those books, we bought this - a world of difference (no pun intended).
In the "... for babies" series his short punchy writing style is a brilliant accompaniment to the pictures. Here he tries to use a different writing style... and it's really poor. He's trying to write in verse but it seems like he has no sense of rhyme or rhythm.
"8 little planets with the Sun at the center.
Does each one wish it were a little bit better" - Apart from the complete fail on the rhyme, I don't even know what he's trying to say here. It's like he couldn't think of anything better and just thought "Oh this'll do".
The book is beautifully colourful and physically attractive. Although, on some pages, there is so much going on, that the central theme of the page (the planet in question) kind of gets lost. The idea of the book is great, but the sort of fun that many authors have, using rhyme and tempo in language that is to be read aloud to kids, is missing here. If someone else...
