Evenflo Big Kid Highback 2-in-1 Belt-Positioning Booster Car Seat for Kids Ages 4-10

Emily: My son has used this booster exclusively for almost a year and a half now and it's still working great for us. This is a booster seat- it's only function is to keep your child in the correct position to be able to use the car's regular seat belts. The booster does not attach to your car- the seat belt holds it (and your child) in place. The nice thing about that is it's ridiculously easy to move it from car to car if needed. I like this booster because it's narrow (I have three other kids/carseats in my car), extremely lightweight, and very easy to use. I know multiple reviews said that it's uncomfortable, but my kid has never said anything about it being uncomfortable. I don't think there's any less padding than any of our other carseats. We've also never had any trouble with a water bottle or cup falling out of the cupholders. I am definitely going to buy more of these when my other kids outgrow their carseats!

Mojod: We tired a couple other seats that were listed as narrow or good for a small car but they didn't fit. I am glad I found this it fits well in our Mazda's small back seats. Unlike the convertible carseat-booster seat in our other car our child has no issues clicking the seat belt around this seat. I think because the base/seat isn't super thick the angle is easy to reach while seated. It has guides for the lap belt and loop to keep the shoulder belt at the appropriate height. The cup holders are basic but work fine for water bottles, sm-med cup sizes. It is very narrow so it isn't going to fit a wide child. But it is deep enough to accommodate my 53 inch long legged child. My child says the seat is comfortable we use it around town regularly as well as short trips 45-90 minutes with no issues. I will note I wasn't sure about it when putting it together especially when extending. But, once in the seat it felt just as stable as our bigger convertible seat. It doesn't have a clip to keep it in place when not in use. But we just leave it buckled in so it doesn't move around in the back (simple solution). JJM: This is a great booster seat that can combine the seat back or that can be removed to just have the seat base. The seat back can be adjusted up and down as required. The padding and construction seem decent. There are seat belt guides that look like handles just below the head restraints. They do help to keep the seat belt from cutting into the neck or from resting below the shoulder (both configurations are dangerous for kids), but you may need to raise or lower the seat back until the seat belt finally rests between the shoulder blade and the neck (see manufacturer's instructions for correct adjustment). The only issue i have had with the seat belt guides is that the seat belt can get twisted easily if pulling the seat belt quickly. Taking care with this and it's not a problem. If you elect to use the seat base only, there is a strap that will serve the same function (to hold position of the seat belt) if attached correctly. I really like this feature. I don't much care for the drinks holders (there are two; one either side) as they have a molded section in the seat base, but this only wraps half way around the bottle/cup. fit4life: I am by no means an expert in the realm of booster and car seats but I noticed a lot of negative reviews on here that are based on people not being informed. I thoroughly research these sorts of things before making a decision as my kids safety in the car is paramount. First I would like to address it being flimsy. Its designed that way for a purpose. Its not so much flimsy by flaw. This enables it to follow the velocity of motion and give in the event of an accident. The child is secured with the vehicle belt, so they will not stay in place as with a five point harness secured to a rigid car seat, so this would be of benefit that it would be able to follow the child. As to it moving around after installing... its a booster seat with NO anchors. Of course it will move, the idea of a booster is to lift the child up into position so that the seatbelt fits their body correctly. Its the job of the person buckling the child in to make sure the seatbelt is snug enough that the child and seat don't move around.
