Amazon Customer: You need to know if your PH requires it.

Millese: The plant food is granules that come in a container with a dispenser with holes in it. All you have to do is shake the granules around your plant. I use it for my blue hydrangeas and they produce that beautiful purplish blue color that I love. Follow the directions on where to put the plant food. It directs you to put it on the drip line, meaning the outer ring around the end of your plant's stems.

The Walker FamilyThe Walker Family: These were mostly white with a when I disliked the pellets in water, and let the water soak up the acid prior to putting it on the soils. It soaked up and turned my flowers pink in three days. I don’t recommend dissolving without the proper water to acid measurement.

Randal B.: Easy to distribute around your plants, so not to hurt my plants, I put a couple of table spoons around the plant every 4 weeks and water in during spring and summer, by the next year my soil is at an acidic pH and my hydrangeas are purple with blue centers not pink any more. Have to keep reapplying every spring and summer. I also use it on my azalea's and roses.

Amazon Customer: This is so far the best soil acidifier I used. It's slow released, mildly adjust the PH level of the soil. My rhodie and gardenias are loving it!

On3man: Have applied as directed to new blueberry plants and monitored with pH meter. Soil pH has not changed over the summer. Tested a sample by dissolving it in water. No change in the pH of the water. Very disappointed in this very expensive product.

james a rothering: I love it

Ali Julia: The media could not be loaded.  We have a large number of blue hydrangea. In the past I have used Vigoro Azalea plant food. This spring I decided to try Espoma as it specifically targeted hydrangeas. Now that the summer and the summer blooms are behind us I am ready to review this plant food. I thought it did a reasonable job but the blooms were not any more intense in color than what I got with Vigoro. This plant food is more expensive than Vigoro and it requires more of the plant food per plant. For established bushes like mine the instructions are to use 2.5 cups and needs to be repeated every 60 days. Vigoro instructions to use in the spring and in the fall and use about half the amount.

Bottom line: it did a good job but I did not see results any better than with Vigoro, so I plan to go back to Vigoro next year.
