| S |: You’re looking at this book because your kid is obsessed with rubber ducks. They screech every time they even see a duck. They will screech for this book. Ducks everywhere on every page. Does the storyline matter when there are so many ducks? No. In a children’s book market that’s surprisingly low in rubber duck related content, this will work for your needs.

Vincent Darius: My ~2.25yo kiddo adores this book! It gives good opportunities to talk about objects, manufacturing, people working in factories, shipping, and assorted animals.
My kid is obsessed with green trucks because of this book, and gets really excited and creative when we go on walks and they see a green truck. They're curious if every green truck carries rubber duckies (also picked up a Green Toys Recycling Truck, which can hold small rubber duckies--kiddo LOVES filling the green truck with duckies!).
Heck, this book would be worth it a thousand times over if only because a big blue whale sings to a rubber ducky, and my kiddo has learned to sing like a whale. Very excited, wigglin' their butt and making whale noises to show how excited the whale is to see a rubber ducky.
10/10.

Christina: I bought this book for our Eric Carle collection because I love this illustrations so much. The Very Hungry Caterpillar was the first book I got my child and she fell in love with the story and the pictures so we have branched out into additional books by Eric Carle.
The book has quite a bit of text on the first couple pages which is great because it isn't a super fast story like some kid's books. The rubber ducks start off in a factory being created and their journey takes them on a cargo ship and then around the world to meet different animals. The first few pages are in-depth and then on each page after the ducks fall off of the cargo ship, they meet a new animal. I like that the animals in this book aren’t the traditional animals that are in children’s stories. They meet a dolphin, octopus, other ducks, whale, flamingo, etc. We love all of the animals and getting to meet what part of the world they are from (ex. Polar Bear in the North). This story also teaches directions since the ducks go all over the world. Overall a great story and I would highly recommend for your collection!

Venetia: I really love Eric Carle books. There is something about the artwork that is really fascinating to me, and has always resonated with the children I read them to. The images are "open" enough to leave lots of room to either expand or minimize the storytelling based on the child's age. It was the first time I read this particular book, and my 20-month-old and I both loved the story and artwork, but I found the typeface much too small. Get out your reading glasses!

Dom Dumont: I have not read this story before & it wasn’t quite what I thought it would be but it worked well for a baby shower gift. Decent quality book.
