Ergo Arm Sling Sport Medical Support Brace for Broken & Fractured Bones

Mel H.Mel H.: I got this for my son because he crushed his hand and had to have reconstructive surgery. For healing he needed to keep his hand to his chest. He’s 6’6” and 370lbs so the normal slings would not fit him comfortably. This arm sling was a life saver for starting school and being able to go places. He has a big splint on his hand and it fit just fine through the opening and he was also thankful that the arm section was expandable so his hand rested comfortably. The strap is adjustable with Velcro and he likes that the material on the strap was soft and padded for extra comfort. The sling material on the arm part is breathable and I have washed it in the washing machine and dryer it’s still good! Highly recommend.

R Iverson: Worked perfectly to relieve my bursitis discomfort during treatment. easy to adjust and the thumb strap is a nice add to keep the sling from wandering. could be a little longer for us taller folks but still worked better then the sad sling provided by my MD's office...

MGT: This sling is very comfortable -- much better than the one I was given in the ER for a fractured proximal humerus. The material is slightly stretchy, which helps my arm feel secure. I can easily adjust it myself. If it had a waist strap that would hold my arm more securely against my body I would have given it 5 stars, but it's pretty comfortable as it is.

One caveat -- I'm 5'3, medium frame. If I were taller I would likely want the XL size, as this size is just right for me.

I would definitely buy it again.

James West: I bought this sling after having rotator cuff surgery in February of this year and got to wear it every day for 6 weeks. I like this sling much better than the one they sent me home with after surgery, the thumb loops to me were the best feature it allowed me to keep my elbow firmly seated in the sling. The one complaint that I had with this is the velcro strap, it could be wider (less pressure on your neck) and if it wasn't for the sliding cover that went over the strap it would never have stayed secured, a better velcro strap would have made it 5 stars.

Claudia Chritton: So unfortunately I fell & broke both of my elbows. I received 2 very basic slings from the urgent care I went to. One for each arm. I could not wear both at the same time because the straps dug into my neck. I saw these & knew they had to be better than the ones I had. Great quality, easy to use & very comfortable. The straps are covered in soft material so it does not dig into into your skin like the basic ones do. Highly recommend if you need it for one or both of your arms!!!

Andrew: Very happy with this sling. I’m 6’1 and using the standard adult size to support a badly broken wrist. Much more comfortable than the sling I’d purchased at a local pharmacy.

jacfly: I was not sure of this initially but as i worked out how to put on by self found this to be the best. Still in some pain to get on as have to position self. Only an issue if restricted shoulder movement. (Broken shoulder joint). Once on keeps arm in place and well support. Thumb and finger support elasticated and comfortable. As no buckle and foam with edge covered straps nothing to dig in to neck and back. Still more comfortable with hoodie underneath given weight of arm. Only down side is sleeve could be longer. No pockets but sleeve deep enough enough to place phone, gloves etc in.

When i spoke with physio, they did not recommend the ones where you strap around body. I would not be able to do by self. So this one is great to do by self.

mark: I have a shoulder injury and The NHS version was rubbish.. I purchased this after reading the mixed reviews.

I have to say I find this sling very comfortable and easy to use, I have minimal movement of my shoulder meaning I only have one hand/arm to use. I can put the sling on and adjust all with my good arm no problem. Only thing that would make this sling even better would be a support strap around the waistline/body to further restrict movement of injured arm.

Crewmember: I am waiting for rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder, it is extremely painful at times, wearing the sling helps to ease the pain and stops me tensing my arm & shoulder so much. I couldn’t get comfortable whilst sitting in the evenings but this really helps.
