RidgeNCRidgeNC: The build and paint quality are excellent. The style goes well with our 1920's craftsman style house and front door. The instructions were well written and easy to understand. Very happy with my purchase.

BEWARE of the template that is on the back side of the instructions page. The hole pattern DOES NOT match the actual hole pattern on the mailbox - see the attached photo. If you use this template to drill your holes you'll have to do it over when you try to mount the box. Luckily, I noticed this before I drilled any holes, but would have been upset had I drilled all of the holes only to find out they don't line up.

I recommend holding the mailbox where you want it and marking the holes instead of using the template. I marked and drilled one hole, mounted the box loosely, then made sure the box was level and marked the second hole. Then pivoted the box out of the way and drilled the second hole. I only mounted it with the top two holes instead of all four, since they seemed unnecessary and my old mailbox of similar design was attached with two screws.

Lale Davidson: This is a solid piece with durable hinges. It's also painted inside and out, and the metal is a solid gauge, though I couldn't tell you what gauge. Ended up returning it because it was bigger than I expected.

Amazon Customer: Looks good enough. The template in the box didn’t match the mounting holes. Off by 3/4 an inch, so I have extra holes in my wall behind the box.

Carmy: Arrived on time & well packaged - this mail box is perfect size for me - it's deceiving bc it is deeper than expected & that's a plus - able to hold/fit catalogs & large envelopes - looks really nice classy for a mail box - so if you don't get bulky or tons of mail a day then I totally recommend this mail box

Douglas McClure: Looks great and was relatively easy to install. Comes with mounting hardware that should work for most. If you are installing on a flat surface, you might need to add a spacer between the mail box and wall to stop the hinged lid from rubbing against the mounting surface when opened. Ours was installed over vinyl siding, and picking the placement avoided having this issue. Very happy with the installed product. No lock, but not an issue for us.
