You have to wipe the sides down before adding water.

Virginia Country ManVirginia Country Man: Let me start by saying that the end result is a beautiful functioning tub at a great price and I recommend it without reservation. The ordering was easy and the tub was well protected, packaged and delivered with no problems. Keep an eye on the pricing though as I have seen it fluctuate by as much as $150!
Now for the "What I Wish I Had Known" part: I remodeled my master bathroom myself and as such I had to know what the finished dimensions of the tub was and the rough-in requirements for the drain for the tub and the only thing that I could find on Amazon (the seller/manufacturer's website seemed to be a middleman and didn't have any helpful information at all!) was the tub and drain dimensions.
There was no mention of the tub being supplied with a flexible drain to attach to the tub and run to the drain. The problem I ran into was that I put the floor drain exactly where the drain of the tub is whereas I could have offset the floor drain by as much as 24" but now I did not have enough clearance between the bottom of the tub drain fittings and the floor drain to utilize the supplied flexible drain.
