Oscar Calderón: Funciona bastante bien para un acuario de 50 lts. Tiene buena potencia de succión y su mantenimiento es sencillo.

S. WatkinsS. Watkins: I had a love/hate relationship with this vac for 1.5 years. I just bought my 2nd one 6 mos. ago and I learned a lot in that time period. It is the best vacuum of its kind. Many of us don’t want to take a large amount of water out of the tank as a result of vacuuming it. I have a single goldfish in a 40-gallon breeder tank, and I’m amazed at how much crap comes out of that fish. I need to vacuum almost daily, but don’t need to change the water that frequently. Plus, it takes me a long time to vacuum, so if I used a siphon all the water would be long gone before I finished. This vac solves that problem nicely. It can either save you time or cause you huge amounts of stress, depending on how you use it. The picture above shows my tank with its original sand substrate (I chose it because everyone said it would be “easier to clean”). It was a nightmare. It looked pretty but it was actually harder to clean for me because all the detritus, bacteria, and funk stuck to it. It would form a little crappy sand ball and would become too heavy to suck up. I would literally stand there and curse at the vacuum after an hour of cleaning was still unfinished. I hated it...

Molto comodo

Update after two months: Still one of the best things I ever did when it comes to cleaning the fish tank. I no longer dread the task but enjoy it since it takes 15 minutes and no setup. Works great and no issues.
Original Review: This unit works as good as or better than anything else I have ever used. Prior vacuum methods include siphon-style tub vac and faucet mounted venturi-vac. First what I liked and did not like about these items. Siphon vac was a pain since a 5 gallon bucket is heavy and it takes emptying and filling at least 5 times to do a 50 gal tank. The Faucet mount works great with plenty of vacuum but takes time to set up and requires filling after taking out so much water. I find that I probably do a complete water change with each vac using these methods...fish seem to be okay with it but I use well water. Also, filling requires adding hot water to keep fish from thermal shock. I use as much hot water as taking as taking a long shower to do this. So it is an energy hog using these methods. At $0.11/KwH it cost $0.71 to heat 40gal of water in a electric hot water heater, about what you use with siphon methods. That becomes $1.50 in some...

Jack: After struggling with different siphon systems I decided to try this vacuum. I'm so pleased that I did. The EHEIM Quick Vac works incredibly well. Ease of use is number one. Vacuum power is very good and it is very easy to clean out the vacuum. Don't bother with anything else. Get the EHEIM vacuum.
