Old Guy: My new diet calls for a lot of boiled eggs. This makes slicing boiled eggs a piece of cake! The recess you place the egg in will accommodate rotating the egg 90 degrees to make another cut. It is all metal, and the bits of eggs rinse easily from the wire blades and the base. And, it was one of the inexpensive models. Go for it!

David Budd: I use a lot of hard boiled eggs and previously used a lighter duty slicer. The wires did not last very long and they were bent after repeated use. This item much better and the wires do not bend. Amazon was the only place I could find this product after searching at Target, wal Mart and Home Goods. Product was ordered and arrived the next day. I would highly recommend
