Rachel: I bought this to administer anti anxiety pills to my new cat, because I had declined borrowing the one from the shelter.
In theory, this should work pretty much the same way as the shelter one, but in practice, it works occasionally. Most of the times, the pill didn’t come out as expected, but when it works? It works.
It’s decent enough for the price and it is pretty sturdy, but it truly has been a hit or miss situation for me. Buy it if you need one in a hurry and won’t need it for too long.

Arlene: The pill was an odd shape and got stuck in the tip. Toby was having none of it. I ground it up , added a drop of chicken broth, and used a spoon to put it in the tip. Then shot it in the side of Toby’s mouth it worked!!! Surprisingly well in fact. I would recommend for animals difficult to pill and who wiggle ALOT!!

Amazon Customer: My cat is currently taking antibiotics and I tried to pill by hand. This DID NOT work so I ordered this piller out of desperation. I initially was not impressed (it’s a cheap plastic gadget), but then I actually used it and was instantly pleased. This makes administering medication quick and easy, virtually eliminating my anxiety over the process. It takes one or two tries to get the positioning right, but now I can pill in under 6 seconds. Game changer!

Thleaf: What a difference in giving pills to my lovely quiet friendly kitty who turns into a flurry of claws when trying to give pills!! This holds the 2x sizes of pills I give her. This extends my reach just far enough to be able to pill her and not get my fingers/hand clawed up and it's easy and quick to use.
I've read some of the reviews and frankly I'm baffled.
Yes, it is plastic,
no it's not high tech (it's not supposed to be).
Very satisfied with it and I can now pop the pill in my kitty cat's mouth in less than 2 seconds HUGE difference as BEFORE I had to wrap my cat in a huge towel and she would still manage to get me and most times we had to start over as the pill would not go in properly!
This is now nearly stress free!
I take the popper out of the cupboard and the cat comes and waits for me to pick her up and place her on the piano (lid closed) which brings her at waist height, and her behind is on the wall and she faces outward. I scruff her lightly & bring the popper to the side of her mouth touch her lips and she opens her mouth and I use the plunger to get the pill far enough back then I pat my cat and she's all happy, once in awhile the...

Susan: This gadget does not work for capsules. They kept getting stuck in the rubber compartment. When I was able to release the capsule the entire rubber pocket fell off with it. I’m glad I tested this on a counter instead of my kitty. It would have been a definite vet emergency!

Casey D.: This in theory is a great product, logical and easy to use until you actually use it. Water sprays all over because the Reiner tips come off. The whole in the rubber top is so small that you can’t actually push the pill out. Great in theory, doesn’t actually work that well. Would be good for liquids

Mike Davis: Would recommend this product for anyone with a difficult dog. Quick delivery & well made. I don’t think I’ll have to replace it for a long time. Price is fair for a product that is so well made.
We needed something to help give our Show Tzu her 1/2 Benedryl tablet each night. Others were primarily for larger pills or capsules. This dispenser has 2 tips, 1 specifically for tiny pills. She would squirm & try avoiding taking it when I used my finger. When I used the dispenser, she seemed to understand on the very 1st time using this dispenser. She opened her mouth herself with very little coaxing 😁.

M. Gondek: We've bought two of these in the past few years, and they're excellent for pilling our two cats. One cat gets four pills every other day, varying in size from a capsule to a crumb, while the other cat gets two small pills daily. These feeders definitely work best on medium-sized pills/capsules. For that, they're fantastic (even our pet sitter agrees), and the shape makes it very easy to dispense pills one-handed. I prefer this design over the plain stick-style Pet PIllers for that reason.
For other size pills, though, this feeder doesn't work so well. Larger capsules don't quite fit in the rubber mouth and can easily fall out as you're positioning to give the pill. With tiny pills (like when you have to cut something into quarter pieces), the plunger often doesn't actually push the piece out of the rubber mouth into your cat's mouth. Both scenarios end up with you and the cat getting really irritated while you try to wrestle the plunger/pill while holding the cat with one arm.
Fortunately for us, our two cats are too old and slow to fight us too much while we pill them, and the feeder does make it much faster/easier to get the pills down their throats and not hung up...

Karina O.: We are the proud human butlers for two cats. Our oldest is like the Feline incarnation of the Dalai Lama, all loving kindness, compassion and sweet disposition. Our second cat is closer in temperament to a demon born of Dante’s sixth circle of hell. He’s a bit fractious with a temperament that does not enjoy changes to his routine. To say he does not react well to strange and unknown events occurring within his personal space is a little like saying the ocean is a touch damp. So go figure which one of the two gets a stomach infection and needs to be given a course of oral antibiotics? As a hint... my luck isn’t that good. So it immediately became an issue of tactical planning, carefully constructed ambushes and deft physical dexterity to ensure that the little guy could get his pills and be all healthy and happy. For the record, this did not work. Our tactical planning and physical dexterity were not up to the challenge, and several scratches and one seriously annoyed cat later, it occurred to us we were well out of our depth. That’s when we found the pill syringe.... and I can honestly say, in my personal opinion, it has been a godsend. It makes the process of giving our...

DA: Does just what it is supposed to do: allow us to give pills to a very unhappy cat. Use it to shoot the pill to the back of his mouth - past his tongue - and now he can't spit it out. What a game changer for us.....I'd but this again if needed,
