Linda Larrymore: Not a beginner, but a first time user of this resin. It comes with 2 nice cups and several useful tools.
Be careful , don’t mix too much! I mixed 300/300 ml at once and started to cover trivets and it heated up on me. I followed the temperature suggestion of 77 Degrees in the room, too warm. So 72 should be ok.
It is thin, make sure you cover your items generously, otherwise it wrinkles on the corners.
Torch very often to get the bubbles out and put it down level.
If you follow all of the above, it dries beautifully in about 18 hours to touch.

Hawk eye: I finally decided to try resin casting, so I'd have some smooth objects to try airbrushing once spring finally arrives here.

I am a total newbie to resin casting and have only used this resin a couple of times. One of the times I've used this resin, my castings turned out great! The second attempt didn't go as well...

The first time I used this resin, I was very careful to evenly mix the two parts and took my sweet time slowly stirring the mixture before pouring. The two large castings I poured turned out wonderfully! Only one casting has a single tiny bubble in it, and neither have any surface blemishes. I'm very much looking forward to painting them later! I did notice, however, that the bottom of both castings had very slight soft spots near the center.

Elated by my success, I bought more pouring molds and a couple weeks later, poured into them. This time though, I rushed it. Remembering the soft spots, I added more hardener. I also didn't spend as much time mixing the two parts.

I poured six castings. Three turned out decent, one turned out great, and two were so bad that the molds were ruined.

Edoardo S.Edoardo S.: L'ho usata per fare clonazione di figurini per un plastico. La resina va scaldata ad una temperatura di 25 gradi prima di miscelarla. Ho provato la soluzione 1:1 e ci sono voluti 3 giorni per farli indurire per consentire di toglierli dallo stampo senza rovinarli ma restano un po' mollicci. Si abbattono i tempi di essiccazione se vengono tenuti al caldo. Altre resine sono migliori, a me ne serviva una più economica visto il gran numero di cloni da realizzare. Sul discorso bolle darei un 3,5 su 5 alcune microbolle non é stato possibile eliminarle. Fortunatamente dovevo dipingerli e ho potuto mascherare. Non adatte secondo me per gioielli ma solo se dovete creare qualcosa che dovete dipingere e non siete troppo pretenziosi sulla resa.

Madam MotorheadMadam Motorhead: So I bought this to make a present for my mum. Since this was my first time using resin I was concerned based on the reviews from others but I did my research and found this worked perfect for me. It has dried solid and there is no ply to the finished product. It has also set clear on the layer without the glitter.

I started by using scales to measure the amounts of each exactly as I find this to be more precise than the measurements on mixing containers. I mixed for three minutes using a timer and begun to pour into the silicone mould adding the dried flowers. I only filled half way as I wanted half clear and half glitter (followed the same process for adding the glitter layer the next day).

I used a spare bedroom to store it overnight with a heater running to keep the room at 25° consistently (the only time I was happy to have storage heaters). I also put a dehumidifier in the room keeping the door closed to ensure no moisture was present.

The resin had set solid after 24hrs using this method. Would highly recommend and will continue to use in future.

Mega ReviewerMega Reviewer: As a preface, I'll say that I have absolutely no experience with resin, epoxy, or anything of the sort. I got the brilliant idea this year to make coasters for Christmas gifts for people. This seemed the simplest solution for a coaster material (within the bounds of what I was trying to make -- see picture). After reading reviews and researching, I ordered this set.

The Good:
- This kit comes with pretty much everything that you'll need for your resin-pouring adventure. The only "missing" item was rubber gloves, which I used to avoid too much of a mess. Everything else, this kit has. Included: 1 part resin (16 oz.), 1 part hardener (16 oz.), 2 mixing/measuring cups with mL measurements, 5 popsicle sticks for mixing, 1 yellow scraper/spatula.
- I truly appreciated the "working time" before the resin fully set that allowed me to mix and get out several pours (I had a mold that made 3 coasters at a time) before the mixture started to really cure.
- As mentioned somewhere on this Amazon listing, the mixture gave me about an hour to 90 minutes of work time before it really began setting in place, 24 hours before the coasters were solid enough to pop out of the mold, and...
