Oceanport-CedarRiver: Everything went during installation as advertised. The interior of the door is white so this device does not “stand out” and take away from the aesthetics… looks good from the inside of the apartment. Will be experimenting with painting the exterior to match the exterior door color. The only improvement I would recommend is a way to make it slide completely flush with the edge of the door. There is still a little clearance because it is well made, sturdy, and hard to push exactly flush. Otherwise works great. Highly recommend.

H. WyattH. Wyatt: I like design and ease of installation; however, it's unlikely that this model will hold up with extreme temperatures here in New Orleans and will degrade over time. Next time around, we're going with a white mount which might reflect sun. This mount wasn't installed long enough to know one way or another.

See the attached snapshot:

1 - The back door mounting assembly is made of sturdy but thin metal, so that it won't get stuck in narrow door jambs.

2 - The protective case is thick plastic.

3 - It's difficult to tell from my photo, but the bottom cameras on dual-cam units such as ours need to be unobstructed.

We're not returning this purchase because it did fit our Eken video doorbell just fine, but I threw away the packaging, and then decided to go with a battery-operated Eufy Dual Camera T8213. Unfortunately, the Eufy won't even come close to fitting inside this mount and that's not the DoorbellBoa manufacturer's fault.

All in all, I would say this is a worthwhile buy. It probably won't stop a persistent thief, but nothing else would either.

Darren: Reason the above is important is at night the IR bounces off the trim and causes a very bright looking spot in the camera. Not sure if something were to be in the spot if it would detect it or not. Would be nice if the wedge could be used in this holder. If it can please enlighten me and it would be a 5 star.

KitKatKitKat: I bought this for my Eufy doorbell cam. There were guidelines in the package on which foam to use for Eufy but mine is a slimmer model so have to use extra pieces on the side to secure the doorbell. Other than the extra padding, the rest of the installation was easy. I do get pivotal view of my entrance after the installation which is good. One think I notice though is the door mount has added thickness to my door and resulted in tiny gaps between the door and the weather strip; we will have to apply extra weather strip to seal the gaps.

Jacinthe LarinJacinthe Larin: Was worried that it would not work because of the measurements of the video doorbell I bought (Eufy model 2K) compared to the huge hole in this Doorbell Boa: the doorbell seemed so small that it would fall through the hole… but not at all, with the variety of foams included I was able to adjust it perfectly in the middle with no foam on the bottom part to allow the microphone to work. Then, I pretended I was a burglar and tried to remove it by trying to push the foam: impossible! Proceeded to install it on my door: very easy, works perfectly. Wanted a product that could work with different brands of video doorbells in case I want to upgrade in the future for a newer model or different brand and I did not want to drill any holes in my brick wall for the same reason: this product is THE solution I needed, for the present and the future!
