Sam J: This stool is perfect for my rather large ass. Provided you secure it properly when selecting the height, it does not move. Well worth the money

Brian Espinoza: Bought it originally as a stool to practice my bass playing. I find that it has become my favorite seat. The motorcycle seat is perfect shape to promote good posture. The cushion is super comfy. The set up and screw pegs are kinda wonky and you have to be careful not to unwind the seat too high is it will become a bit unsteady. Overall since it is a drummer’s stool I gave it a five star for overall functionality and comfort.

NyceAndeed: I tried 4 different drum thrones after researching for days before settling on this one and returning the others. The ones I returned were:
1. Alesis throne and headphone "set". The headphone in that set is utter garbage - the free ones they hand out on airplanes are probably better quality, so I cannot justify paying $100 for what is essentially a $35 throne.
2. Starfavor. The fabric seat top smelled nasty. So much that I was not confident it will ever air out.
3. Donner heavy duty. Listed in the same product page as this light duty one. The price was about 2.5x. The throne was indeed 2.5x heavier but did not feel any more stable, although it could probably with-stand more weight.
So since I'm only 150lbs, I figured I'll go with this light-duty Donner one. Honestly a random stool from Walmart will probably be cheaper and more stable, but it will look out of place next to the drum set.

Steve: Bought this for my acoustic kit. Very sturdy with easy screw adjustment. The seat is a bit too big if anything and not quite as spongy as it looks.
A few weeks later I decided to buy another stool for my Electric kit and opted for an Eastrock stool at around the same price.
Personally, I prefer the Eastrock as it has more comfortable seating and has a velvet cushion. Obviously it comes down to personal preference but take a look at the Eastrock for a comparison before you make your mind up.

Paul C: After receiving this and putting it together, I noticed they changed the design a little bit for the better. Some reviews mentioned the mounting plate that screws to the seat was plastic. Mine is now metal. For the height adjustment, you now insert two bolts through the post instead of one and tighten easier to grip knobs instead of a small wingnut. Also, I noticed a few reviews had pictures with rusty stems. They must have made improvements because mine was brightly polished chrome and was wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap with not a hint of rust. Now, that being said...
It's a budget-friendly, entry-level throne. I purchased this for my 8 year old, 70 lb beginner drummer. I find it odd that people have pictures with $1000+ drum kits but decide to buy a budget throne. He's an entry-level drummer, so I bought an entry-level throne. If he was a hard-core, seasoned drummer I'd have purchased something more appropriate for his skill level and investment into drumming. If he sticks with it and this falls apart, I'll upgrade it.
I'm 6'-1", 200 lbs and tried it after putting it together. It seemed solid and didn't wobble but I won't be the one pounding on drums for 3 hours. I...

Tim K: The build quality is excellent; the thing is solid all around, including the “cushion” which is VERRY firm. The price versus some of the higher end ones is a reasonable trade off.
