Be careful with assembly, do not put too much downward pressure on the shaft when placing the hands on it. Unit may not operate if internal gears get bound up or misaligned.

Ein historisches Uhrwerk quittierte wegen Verschleißerscheinungen seinen Dienst. Die Reparaturkosten hätte dafür im niedrigen vierstelligen Bereich gelegen. Das wiedersprach meinem Verhältnis zu Aufwand und Nutzen, denn die Genauigkeit wäre nicht verbessert und das Aufziehen mit Schlüssel wäre nicht entfallen.
Uhr- und Gongwerk habe ich ausgebaut und unter Beibehaltung von Zifferblatt und Zeiger habe ich das Quartzuhwerk perfekt eingebaut. Von außen sieht man nichts! Das alte Werk mit Pendel Gongfedern habe ich im Uhrenkasten versteckt. Auf den Gong musst ich alledings verzichten und einen elektrischen "Big Ben" wollte ich nicht hören.
Wirklich eine tolle Idee.

Facile da montare e sembra tenere bene il tempo. Peccato che le lancette sono molto grandi per il mio orologio da circa 17 cm di diametro. Per fortuna quelle del vecchio meccanismo erano compatibili.
Segnalo che non è inclusa la lancetta dei secondi. La mia vecchia era compatibile ma il meccanismo diventa molto più rumoroso, alla fine l'ho tolta.

This clock works is perfect. I needed the longer shaft and the two sets of hands gave me the perfect solution to a broken clock. Be sure to check your need for a longer shaft as I have other clocks that were repaired with shorter shafts.
