SabreC: Bought these to go with a mini microscope as a present. I ended up looking through every slide for hours before wrapping it. Huge hit with my 4 and 7 year old nephews. Great specimens of things I wouldn’t have had access to look at.

Phil: I got these for my grandson along with a cheapie usb digital scope.
They're great. They're cheap, safe, and lots of cool things for kids to look at. These are child friendly safety slides that are specifically for grade-schoolers.
Of course they are low quality and will be blurry. Don't hold plastic safety slides to the same light quality and refractive standards as glass slides.
I just wanted to finally write a review for these because I keep recommending these to parents looking for microscopy kits, and this kit is one I regularly recommend. And I was disheartened reading some of the negative reviews. Right, we get it, much lower-grade refractive qualities in these plastic, safe, slides. So they're a bit blurry. And?
It's a good product, does precisely as advertised, safe, and quality is just fine for child-safe prepared slides. We've gotten a lot of use out of 'em. I've recommended this kit to a bunch of people. Guess I'll do it in a review now.

Meg Ashfield: We are a homeschool family. During the past year we bought our son a small $5 microscope from Five Below. It came with a few slides. It was just enough to see if we could incorporate the microscope into weekly science lessons and exploration. When the microscope was a hit, we ordered this slide set.
The slides come in four different categories and offer plenty of options for beginner labs and younger children.
The slides are average slide size and will fit in most microscopes.
They are an acrylic like material and are easy to use and clean.
They do not come with any slides such as concave or similar slides for liquids. No dye is included.
The slides are ready to go out of the box. They can be stored in their original slide boxes which are cardboard. You can also opt to buy a slide box and the slides will fit easily within them.
These slides can also be used with other microscopes such as the USB and Smartphone options.
