We had been looking at 3D printers for quite some time. When I saw the Voxelab Aquila X3 priced cheaper than the Ender 3 Pro I jumped on the deal. The Aquila X3 is basically a clone of the Creality Ender 3 Pro. Many parts are interchangeable between the two.
We have had our Aquila X3 for about 3 weeks now and have been cranking out all kinds of creations with it. A slight learning curve but isn't that true of all technology?!?

Aquila X2.

steve_hi: Had some problems initially the thing wouldn't print. I took the shroud off the hot end and saw there was filament oozing all over. The problem was poor assembly, the screws that hold the hotend to the cooling part were loose. After cleaning the molten filament from the hot end I tightened the screws and readjusted the bowden tube. After that it prints great the prints stick nicely to the bed and after it cools the prints remove easily. Really good printer regardless of the price. The movement of the machine is much quieter them my CR10 but the fans are really noisy, I've ordered some replacements so I can sleep while it's printing.

Amazon Customer:
I am a beginner. Before this printer, I knew absolutely nothing about them. I read online that this was the best bang for your buck--comparable to more expensive beginner printers--and so I took the plunge. Building it was easy enough. After leveling, I was able to get some 3d models, slice them, then print. So easy! Been able to print toys, decorations, and hard drive bays! I did run into some issues where the bottom right corner would warp. I thought maybe it was the PLA+ that i bought, or maybe the bed was not clean enough, or that the bed was not hot enough/too hot. Answer was, the bed was not level. I had moved it, also when printing or when taking finished products out, the bed could've gotten a little unsettled, so make sure to level it or check level before printing, especially big long prints. I think they have 3d models you can print to check level quickly. I did not print one, but might have to for convenience.
The prints come out really nice, the lines are super smooth and compact! You can see the lines, but they are near smooth to the touch. I haven't tried painting, but I would imagine it is smooth enough for paint application, you just need...

L. Zader:
This is my first 3d printer and I love it. Out of the box with just a little tweaking it makes great prints.
Set up isn't that bad, watch a lot of videos and you'll get it. Bed wobble is an issue that isn't well explained. If yours does, you can adjust the screws under the bed to make the bed tighter against the rails. Getting it usable isn't hard, getting it perfect may take more tweaking.
Watch videos on bed leveling, it's important to understand it before you get going. Doing even basic bed leveling will get you a decent print. Make sure you spend the time to level and get it right or you will end up scarring your bed. That doesn't wreck the machine, it's just learning pains. Also, keep paper under your nozle when ever you move it for bed leveling, again, don't scar the bed. If you want to add an auto bed leveler, you can, and it's not that hard.
Once you are printing and have a feel for it, you can work on the next steps. Go print some replacement parts for the filament feeder/retractor. They have the potential to break over time in other machines, so you might as well be prepared. Add some mods that make the machine work...

MK:
When I first purchased this printer, I was having a ton of issues with it - heat creep, some files not printing at all, constantly freezing. I was in constant communication with after-sales support and they were very unhelpful. I initially wrote a very negative review highlighting my experiences and the Amazon seller reached out to me to help. They sent me a brand new printer since my first one was a complete dud. The new printer is working flawlessly! I have not had any issues with heat creep, files failing, or freezing. This seller was very kind and a great help.
2ish-week update: I've been using the new printer almost constantly and every print has come out beautifully.
Pros:
- Prints come out looking very clean. Print lines are almost unnoticeable.
-The filament that is included with the printer is really pretty, and it's more than enough to print all the test files included in the SD card
-The printer includes multiple test print files that actually print useful things (a tool box, an adjustment knob, a hook)
-The printer includes all of the tools needed to put it together and do any repairs, if necessary
-Packaging is...
