Disposable Sifting Litter Box with Liners - Perfect for Easier Cleanup of Kitty Litter

weekend warrior: I give this a 4 star, because my failure is not due to the manufacturing flaw of the product. in fact, it is well made, the base box also appeared quite thick, thicker than the nonsifting ones, which is good. one star off is the gaps are really too wide, and small pieces of feces can fall through. Depends on how active your cat's bowel is (mine is a kitten, and if a cat can look embarrassed, I saw it on his face).

My problem is I recently adopted a kitten, and he can't use clumping clay, but has developed a good habit with pine pellets which I also like. So I am looking for a reasonably priced environmentally friendly disposable sifting box for pine pellets, as I abhor cleaning (litter boxes). There are plastic sifting litter boxes that are relatively inexpensive, but I can't justify disposing them at the frequency I prefer. Then I saw this sifting litter box, knowing very well what might happen from other people's reviews but had to try. The bottom is even raised so there is a nice gap for saw dust! But the pellets just went through... Doubling the boxes does not help, only consumed more pellets, and my hope went with the pellets down the openings. I went as far to drill...

Kindle Customer: I have tried several disposable litter boxes. This one is very reliable. While it recommends using it for 2-3 weeks, I change it weekly. Even though it is large, my cat is long, so sometimes she has troubles. I put a pet pad underneath the litter box, which helps. I gave it an overall rating of 5 stars. I did give it 4 stars for sturdiness and absorbency. There have been a few times when it has leaked. Otherwise, it has performed well and I have been purchasing it for several months.

MAD: Although these are not as sturdy as some disposable litter boxes I have bought at a local store, they are more affordable and good for use if you need some extra boxes for travel, or even if you want to take a weekend trip and you leave the kitties at home for a couple of days with an automatic feeder and water bowl and these as extra litter boxes. My cats actually prefer using these to the one permanent one that they usually use when I don't have these set out.

jenniferpaige: I'm a bit torn with this product for a few reasons. First, I don't use the sifter. I just purchased the boxes. The size of these are definitely jumbo and are good for a full grown cat. It's so difficult to find disposable cat litter boxes that can be used for grown up cats. However if you just want to use the litter box, they are extremely flimsy and I usually stack two or three together to give it some strength. If you keep your litter level at or above 2 to 3 in, then you will not have anything seep into the ones below it. When I throw it away and get ready to use a new one, this is where the challenge begins. Have a garbage bag handy and slide it into it because you will find that it is so flimsy if you try to just carry it to your garbage can, you won't make it. Trust me on this!

TbM: I only use these during travelling with my cats and for this purpose they do well. I have one larger and one smaller female and they make it work but for larger cats or males it might get messy. Wish they made one with taller sides. Didnt notice any urine leaking through and they held up to some pretty vigorous digging and scratching. Would buy again but a larger size.

Nicky M.: No more throwing away plastic litter boxes every few months because they stink! I have two cats and if I clean twice a day, one of these lasts 2 to three weeks. Then into the garbage or green bin if your lucky and no guilt!

Judith M.: I use this as a litter liner to make clean-up easier. I have a regular litter tray lined with plastic tray liner and this disposable litter box inside (on top of the liner).
I do regular scooping until time to change the litter pan.
I take out liner with disposable tray enclosed in one easy step, leaving the regular litter tray clean and ready to prepare the same way.

Perculareef: Had to switch to these once the Miracle Jumbo's stopped bring produced. For these, when they say Jumbo they really mean oversized for need. Normal pans that are "jumbo" typically mean much longer and slightly wider with greater height. These are very long & wide and marginally high. The width is actually a problem when 99.99% of pans are rectangular. Having a square one means none of the lids fit. Also the walls are about 3" too short and the cat easily just flings litter everywhere. The big flaw is actually in the durability and structure. I add 15 lb. of litter as a default for my cat, and it nearly bent in half, let alone when slightly damp from urine and really only filled 1/2 of the pan, its just too wide. They are very weak and just felt like wet cardboard. I ended up having to use 2 pans at a time just to add some rigidity to be able to move it to throw away without it breaking in half. Why 3 stars then? Well it didn't leak or smell other than expected after a 2 week test, which alone is worth 2 stars, and then 1 star because 2 pans makes it not break, which shows at least usability with a 6 pack.
