Barnavy: This book gave me the courage to take on the heavy responsibilities God has placed upon me as a man. Men have forgotten who they are and are so lost in today's society. Every man needs to read this book. This book will encourage men, inspire them, and also challenge them to live up to the standard of a man of God in the scriptures. TG: While this is based around the film "Courageous" it can be completely understood as a read alone book. This book manages to boil down what it really means to "be a man"...and it is not the same message you hear from mainstream media. It manages to be both challenging and applicable to modern life while being very scripturally sound. If you are thinking of buying this book, do it, you will not be dissappointed.

B. Wright: I was advised to read this book after I had recently gotten out of a relationship of 3 years. I was really down in the dumps and my best friend recommended I download it to my Kindle because she had read it. This book absolutely and totally blew me away. I truly wish I had read this book before or while I was dating and engaged to my now "ex". I would have lived my life and acted totally different if I had been armed with the knowledge and wisdom that this book provides. Some of it is common sense advice but the majority of the book is truly eye opening. I purchase many items a year from Amazon and never, ever write reviews. This is the only time I have actually been compelled to sit down and type a review on an item. Believe me when I say this, this book will totally change your life for the better and makes you see things in a whole new light. I recently ordered "The Resolution for Women" and had it shipped to my ex with a note explaining how it has affected me. I'm hoping that after she reads it she will feel the same and possibly consider reconciling. Whether she implements the advice of the book is another story but I truly hope she learns as much as I. This book has changed...

Selah: There is a very subtle but significant difference between calling men to fulfil "their potential" and calling men to fulfil "their responsibility". The former, though it sounds good, is self-centred - whereas the latter, is "Christ-centred". This book does not call men to be the best they can be as husbands and fathers, as much as it calls men to do simply what God has called them to do. Yes, it is a high calling, and a huge responsibility, yet as the authors make clear - God will never call us to do something He doesn't promise to give us the ability to carry out!

I have read many books on manhood/fatherhood, and this one tops the lot. Why? Simply because it deals head on with the root of the issues we face as men, from a Biblical perspective. Then it proceeds to deal with those issues, at the root, in Biblical and practical ways.

The book does not present (as some reviewers suggest) a list of "got to's" for us Christian men. If that's the way you feel as you start to read, then God will probably not get through. But if you have a heart to be the man God has called you to be, and if you desire to do what He has called you to do - you will see the contents of this...
