Tonicka Little: I love that the author made you feel like she was right there with me as I processed my story. Wow, acceptance is not agreement nor is it validation of things we find difficult to forgive, but it does help us deal with situation as they are without allowing the situations or event to control our lives. The work I completed as I read this book helped me to tap into a new grace that I not only needed but desired to give to others. Lord this book is a God send. I have purchased it for 7 individuals and shared it with others. I am grate for chapter 9 as I never would have identified how I have enabling habits. I am grateful for healthy boundaries to keep being good to me and others. Oh this is a EXCELLENT book!

Love the book and the truth bombs that Lysa Terkeurst delivers. I didn't make it pass the introduction without tears. For anyone grasping for a hint of grace through forgiveness, this book will certainly be a blessing.

Ashley: I adore Lisa Terkeurst's books!!!! She is an incredibly talented writer, who is so relatable and makes you feel like you are her best friend chatting over coffee while you read her words. This book is heartwarming, heartbreaking and absolutely beautiful all in one. She really opens up and makes you feel like it is okay to be vulnerable as a woman of God, rather than hiding and feeling ashamed. She always picks the best quotes and bible verses to go along with each chapter and paragraph too. This is a book you definitely won't regret reading!

newly refreshed: I absolutely loved this book and it gave me so many areas that I could re evaluate my thoughts and direct them more towards a positive outlook. The previous comments on this being a Christian book is quite unnecessary. Lysa uses a lot of scripture in this book that a person can use, meditate on and either choose or not choose to look in the bible. She admits straight up she isn’t a professed clergyman or psychologist and also tells her readers such. I have read most of her books and I always come to the end of her books with new perspectives and thought changing tips that I use daily! If you need direction and feeling the weight of others on your shoulders this book is a must read! Love it Lysa and very well done
