Sharon U.: This is the first book on pagan spirituality that I have read. I chose it because of the reviews and I'm really glad I did! It is very well organized, easy to understand, and at just the right level of detail for someone new to the path. The author writes from a perspective of inclusiveness and kindness, which I really appreciated. I definitely recommend this book if you're looking for a high-level survey of modern paganism.

Avid Reader: An excellent primer for, as the title implies, any and every new seeker of Paganism. I've always felt enthralled by the Greek pantheon (thanks, Hercules and Xena), but only recently felt drawn to start wearing both a triquetra and amethyst crystal nearly 24/7. Sebastiani goes through a high-level overview of how modern Paganism has come to be, the tools and symbols and rituals associated with the major traditions, and a starter list of resources to continue your journey into Paganism if you so desire. I'm very much looking forward to continuing my own spiritual journey with this newfound knowledge as my foundation.

Kaleah Young: This was a wonderful resource for learning the basics and beyond of Paganism. I now have a greater understanding of Paganism and many of the practices that go along with it.

Alyssa Wildfire: I’ve been a practicing pagan since July of 2020. I pretty much knew 97% of what was in this book, but it was still such an amazing read. I love all of the different colors within the book and the pretty pages between chapters, it really kept me focused (I have a hard time reading bland, normal looking books). So much great information for new Pagans looking to gain information. 10/10 recommend!

Cthulhulyn: A clear intro to some of the main paths of paganism. I'm no beginner, but I found the book an interesting read.
Many of the very critical reviewers seem to be losing sight of the fact that the book is, indeed, for beginners. It is meant to be an overview, not an exhaustive description of every possible path.

Shannon Donahue: This is a fantastic, clear and inclusive beginner book on Paganism.
Whether you are new to exploring what Paganism is about, exploring your path this book is a lovely intro. The way the book is set up it flows really well together; any time I wondered “will the author bring this up?” Sure enough it was mentioned.
If you’ve been a practicing Pagan for sometime this book would also be a welcome addition to your library as it can be a nice reset/reminder to your practice.

Carly: This book is exactly what it promises to be. Sebastiani paints with a broad brush around all the intricacies of the modern Pagan movement to present newcomers with as sturdy a base as possible from which to build their personal spiritual practice. True, in speaking so broadly on a many-faceted religious movement comprised of differing traditions you run the risk of OVERgeneralizing, but it's made clear throughout that navigating such diversity and coming to the spiritual table with a mind open to varying paths is a part of the process, not the end of it. In fact, it's the deliberate emphasis on beginning and expectation that this is hardly the last book you'll read on
Paganism that gives this book its value; Sebastiani provides resources and a compass forward, expecting you to keep moving down your spiritual path with intention long after finishing this read. Having been part of the Pagan community for about a decade now, I love seeing her cut through widely accepted hokum with casual grace. I wish this is a book I'd found when I was first stepping down a Pagan path, and I'm grateful it exists now for today's newbies to relish.
