Diono Radian 3RXT: All-in-One Convertible Car Seat for Maximum Safety and Comfort

Richard: We have a 2017 Ford Explorer, and we found that fitting three car seats across the back seat is nearly impossible. These seats make it possible to fit three car seats in the rear seat with some room to spare. The only issue I have identified is that when the seats are reversed for young children, the front seats have almost no room (which is more of an issue concerning the vehicle). However, other seats that have been reversed fit noticeably better. These seats are great and make it possible to fit three kids in the back seat without having to take away from the cargo space by popping up the third-row seating. The padding seems adequate, and connecting the seats to the anchor points is easy. We would buy them again and would recommend them for anyone looking to fit multiple car seats in a cramped back seat!

Curt S. Hayes: I'm a big guy, so I can install them but they are big and heavy, and that is WHY I BUY THEM. My wife can do it, but struggles a bit. I love the 3rd tether on these to the floor in reverse seating. They are steel structured, and very solid. I have one for both our of our vehicles. This new one has a cover over the back now which is a bit annoying vs previous versions, but I just leave it unzipped (we still use it rear facing).
READ the manual - there are different weight classifications for each belt / seating style, so pay attention to that and these are very good from what I read. I haven't had any incidents (knock on wood), but she likes them and feels secure in them.
The nice thing is you can fully remove the covers w/o removing the seatbelts now (unless you need to wash the seatbelts) as kids have accidents, and eat food, etc. in these things.

Keller Clan: Bought this for our second child. Our first one didn't like the car or her basic baby carrier/carseat and one of these (one generation older but almost identical) increased her toleration of driving. Same goes for the second child.

It's a very strong design. Easy to install and will be used for the life of your child. Easy to take the covers off to clean as well. No need to fret when a diaper explodes or milk gets spilled.

My older daughter loves the cup holder. Fits her camel back water bottle which is a little on the large size.

It's a bit heavy, but that's due to it being well made with a metal frame.

Amazon Customer: So, unfortunately my wife was in 2 accidents this year after nearly 20 years accident free. Luckily she's ok and she didn't have our daughter with her when it happened but the secind accident was bad and we finally decided to upgrade from our cheap car seats to a Diono (plum because our 4 year old insisted).
Box arrived quickly and let me tell you it is heavy. A lot heavier than I expected. Opening it took a little muscle but once out there weren't that many pieces to deal with.
The directions are rough. A quickstart sort of guide is needed. And the directions don't read like they were written by a native speaker. But I figured it out by the 2nd one of these were bought.
The fit and finish of the seat is very nice. A few areas could be improved a little but overall very nice. The cover for the buckle between the child's legs should have velcro or something similar holding it in place. We took it off because it always falls off anyways. And I do wish the buckle was just a little bit longer. It's hard to grab now and or daughter is just under 40lbs and the strap is already at the furthest out position so it's going to be get tough as she grows.

Momazon: This is the 6th diono I’ve purchased. I have 2 children and my own car, my husbands and my mother’s all have these car seats. I wouldnt buy any other. Both my mother and my husband had britax click tights that had to be replaced with these when they broke or stopped working. I love the slim fit within the car. They easily fit side by side and dont crowd into the neighboring seat. They are heavy and a beast to move but they are steel framed so thats not a surprise. Super easy to use the seat belt or latch system too depending on whether your child is rear or forward facing and your vehicle. My 5 yo sat comfortably to 3 1/2 rear facing and could have even longer based on height and weight restrictions. My 2 yo is still easily rear facing. I would recommend this seat to anyone and everyone. Just be warned it is heavy
