Marsbars: Newer window AC units don't allow the water to drain (which I think is unhealthy from a mold and mildew perspective). I removed the plug that was there and inserted this. (I will save the original plug for storage or posterity.) I pointed the drain end away from the house, and I'm happy to report it was easy to install. I just inserted the longer bow tie ends gently and turned to lock in place (so to speak). We'll see how it holds up over time.

Robert Robinson: Good thing there was two in the package. Despite being careful and being cognizant of the weakness of the tabs, they broke when being installed. I got the second one to stay pit, but we shall see for how long. Still, according to the ratings, this is the better choice.

Kay: Using it with a Frigidaire window AC. Took the connector to a big box store to find a hose and found something 10' long that fits. It's quite snug and has no leak so we're happy with the product.
