Thomo Kurrajong: The Dewalt Dado blade kit is awesome. It fits neatly into my Dewalt table saw and makes cutting channels and rebates easy, accurate and fast. I was a little apprehensive about whether these would fit and be safe. They exceeded all expectations and are fantastic.

Comfortably NumbComfortably Numb: Make sure to MEASURE your blades. They are shipping products that are labeled inconsistently. The product is shown on Amazon as 8". The dados I received are marked 8-1/8" or 205mm. The packing carton is labeled 8-1/8" or 205mm. By the way 205mm is NOT 8-1/8". The directions included with the product are marked 8". I spoke to DeWalt and they stated it's an 8" dado. I measured my product and it's 8" IMO. Looks like something is off here. Good luck.

Kevin B: I had my doubts from reviews on mismatched cutter sizes and being too large for the sawstop brake.
Fits the sawstop professional just fine. Stacked up to almost 1” it ran true and cut very very clean both on the wings and flat on the bottom.
The hard case is quite well organized with sections for everything. Slightly annoying that the cutters all stack so you need to swap through some portion of the stack every time unless you always or never use the 1/16 and 3/32 cutters.

Honestly, it’s the nicest set I’ve owned and that includes one that cost twice as much.

Brad Wilson: This works well in my dewalt bench saw. It has to be 8 inch blades to fit. Don’t search for 10 inch Datto blades as the dust shields will not take them.

Carl: I read a number of reviews before investing in the Dewalt set of dado blades. Yes, they do come at a cost but after a few uses I can easily say that I'm quite satisfied. This set of dado blades is a great addition to my shop. They provide really accurate and clean cuts. Each part is well identified from the various blades to spacers. The set also comes with a very good carrying case that provides protection and easy storage for your set.

ShoozShooz: The product worked great with my DeWalt 7491RS. The blades cut a flat bottom and the entering and exiting are clean as well.

When you touch the groove, you can still feel the kerf marks (barely) but they are not visible.

Ben M.: It is better than the original because it does not have the black strip metal on it.

Alex Q: I have a Ridgid R4512 hybrid table saw, and this dado set is compatible. At first I had trouble figuring out how the riving knife release lever would work with the dado stack installed, as the lever hit the blades when I tried to lock it back down. After some research, I discovered that the lever's only purpose is to lock in the riving knife/splitter, and when using a dado stack, the lever should be left in the upright position. A downside is that you can't cut dados deeper than 1.5" without the lever contacting the throat plate, but I can't figure when I'd ever need that much depth anyway. The R4512 manual, page 42 or 43, details more.

As for the blade set itself, I couldn't be happier. The outside blades do leave a tiny ridge at the edges, but it's not very noticeable. If it bothers you, rub some glue and sawdust in at the ends to cover it up. The blades came well marked in a sturdy case, and mine had the kerf chart as a paper insert inside the case with its own storage slot.

One tip is to make some reference boards for each dado size. Considering many sheet goods are undersized now (i.e. a 3/4" plywood sheet is actually 23/32") this can come in handy. Cut several...

chiwi: De Walt stuff generally is pretty good so although I haven't used it yet, I expect it'll live up to its reputation. Of course you pay for that however (in my case) I have to balance that against the fact that it isn't available locally (or if it is it'll cost an arm, a foot and my first born). The "Made in China" on the packaging does however put a question mark under that.

What did surprise me was that there are a couple of different thicknesses of chipper blades. I had assumed that they would be all the same thickness. I was also pleased to note that the shims have their thickness printed on them (weirdly, all except two of the 0.010"). Being in a metric country, I will of course have to put labels into the case for the metric equivalents - not a big deal.

Another slight weirdity is that thicknesses are given for all chippers and shims but not the main blades themselves which merely states their diameter. It is possible to infer from the dado widths shown on the packaging that the smallest dado is 1/4" inferring that each blade is 1/8" thick. It would have also have been nice if the visual dado width chart had been included on a piece of paper as opposed to being...

David S.: First I'm a amateur wood worker. I bought this set because I've had good luck with Dewalt product in the past an it comes in a nice plastic case to keep it organized, and the price was reasonable. I'm happy with the accuracy after testing on many junk boards and once set it stays true. Caution must be used when setting up the width, just because a number of blades are .750 wide, doesn't mean it will cut .750, mine cuts about .765 or so. My conclusion to this is the runout on the shaft of the table saw is not perfect. I'm guessing my output shaft on my saw has about .007-.008 runout, making it cut the.015 thou big? With test cuts on old wood you can test the cut an adjust it accordingly to that perfect width.

What I don't like an I guess everything has a negative, the kit comes with shims to fine tune the width of the dado set,.005,.010, and .020. The first time I used the shims I ruined 2 of my .005. What happens when you stack the shims next to a dado blade the shim falls down into the bottom of the threads on the shaft of the table saw shaft, its in the thread not flush with dado stack. Then when you put the outside dado blade on an screw the nut on to tighten it, the nut...
