Spencer: Dewalt quaility! Used to strip off some old paint and this made it a breeze.

Robert R.: Pleasantly surprised with the price compared to the big box stores. Wires do fly off so make sure you wear eye protection. Otherwise good value and quality for the money spent.

Curtis: There are a few bad reviews out there for this guy.
The wires fly out... True. I've never used a wire wheel or cup brush that this was not true. Better products hold the wires better but still let them go. Wear appropriate gear. This cup brush holds them well. I am very satisfied with the product.
The wires break off... Also potentially true. I have destroyed a cup brush in very short order. I was using it incorrectly. If you push with too much pressure, you force the bristles around corners, or you sling the bristles into narrow sharp edges, anything that sharply bends the bristles as they are rotating, of course they are going to break off fairly quickly. Angle grinders are generally spinning them above 10,000 RPM.
The knotted cup brush works better... Depends on what you are doing and what you are needing. The knotted cup brush has much thicker bristles. If you are removing paint/rust, yep it will do it faster. It may also remove some metal under the paint however. They are very aggressive. If you are pushing with lots of pressure or flexing bristles around corners, they will survive the abuse better than the finer bristles.
I have and use both...

Matthew: This cup brush didn't last very long as all the brissels came out over the coarse of grinding/cleaning rust off of 3 steel tire rims. It's didn't last through the whole job and I ended up buying a cheaper more reliable cup brush from another manufacturer to finish the job.

KLD: The hub is built to last decades, the bristles are surprisingly resilient for their size. Better wear you’re protective glasses :)

GLIverson: I really do like DeWalt tools and own several of them from drills to a 13" planer. I had been looking for a 4 inch brush, but ended up with this one as a compromise. They also make this in a good variation with wound steel .020" brissles too. The price for this one is one of the best around! However that may be, do NOTE: This 3 inch brush does NOT live up to it's rating at all! Not even close. I like Dewalt tools and supplies generally, but this thing is dangerous folks! A simple face shield is NOT enough protection! I am NOT over stating this, with more info to follow.
My best guess after using two of them (I bought two at the same time.) is that they should NOT be used at anything EVER over about 2500 - 3000 RPM max. Though rated at 14000 RPM, the lower speed large angle grinder and the smaller Bosch mini angle grinder BOTH caused them to shed their wire at a dangerous rate. I had them sticking all over my arms and chest.... through my shirts into my skin..... eventually the first wheel was beginning to look quite thread bare, with only minimal use for stipping some paint off of flat steel, and was not good at all. The second one was even worse.... if that is possible....
