Catherine: This was easy to install with a stud finder and drill. I have had two of these up, holding bikes, for close to 2 weeks. Bike removal and reinsertion is easy. I have more space with my bikes stored this way.

Tom in Maine: I have a mountain bike with 2.6" Maxxis Forecasters, mounted on medium depth RaceFace rims - these did not work for this bike. If you have shallow box-profile rims and smaller tires on your mountain bike, they will work - my wife's bike fits - but to say these are true fat bike compatible racks/hooks simply isn't true. The fit of the hook depends on how tall your rims are and how thick your tires are combined. Even when these do work for a mountain bike, they don't have a ton of room to spare. Also, I purchased these as well as the standard version at the same time. They are the same hook size, just different color! These might be stronger to accommodate a heavier bike, but that's all. Will they work for you? Maybe. Do they work for all mountain bikes ? Absolutely not.

Razdin KeenRazdin Keen: So many options for everything these days on Amazon. I’m super happy with this purchase. Very easy to install with some basic handy skills. I hung them in my garage and because it’s just painted over drywall I knew exactly where the studs were at. I’m a tall guy so I hung each at 6 ft. but you could probably do 5ft for shorter folks. You don’t need a drill screw driver but I recommend one. If you don’t have visible stud lines use either a stud finder or as others have done hang a board up first. The screws won’t hold on drywall alone.

Awesome how easy and affective these are for the family’s bikes. 5 stars!

FH: I bought three of these hooks for our bikes that I wanted to mount in garage. Overall installation process is easy. It is a tad bulky for smaller kid bikes but nontheless works. One thing I did not like is the way you have to install the tire tray. Tire tray is installed by tape and came off after a month or so. I ended up drilling the pilots on the tray and install them with screws to the wall.

Chris: The quality of construction is great on these but I think I will be returning them. Mounting this way (perpendicular to the wall) makes the bikes stick out much farther and I don't have enough width in my garage to accommodate this. I'll need a mount that keeps the bikes parallel to the wall.

Consider how much space you'll need get around in your garage before ordering otherwise you might find that the bike sticks out farther than you hoped it would.

Stephen Sinor: These hanger hooks are holding 5 different bikes in my garage. All are different sizes and weights. These are easy to install (tip: hang them an inch lower than you think you need them to make it easier to get the bike mounted) and look good on the wall. They seem sturdy and the addition of the tire cup allows storing bikes without wall scuffs if your garage is finished.

J. L. in Toronto: I have 6 bikes hanging on hooks in my garage. I built a new bike and ordered this hook. Best price out there. But, after installing it there is something that would not make me buy this brand again. It's simply the design. The hook is too close to the wall. It takes some manouvering and wiggling to get a front wheel into the hook because there isn't much space. My high sidewall carbon rims won't fit, while my fixie rim just fits. So I've shuffled some bikes and one with a regular 23cc width adorns this hook, now.

No big deal but given the fact that all the brands are pretty much the same quality (geez, it's just a metal hook after all), I must admit that when I'm using this hook I feel a little urgh of needing to wiggle the wheel getting it off and then back on. The Wagman one I have has the best clearance and is also wide enough to hold my 4" wide fat tire bike.

Russ Kercheval: The vertical mount went up with no issues. I just used a stud-finder, pencil, and drill. All-in-all it took about 10 minutes. Once you get the top part installed with the hook, rest the bike on it and note where the rear/bottom tire touches the wall. The bottom protector has a peel-n-stick pad to attach to the wall. Easy-peasy.

I appreciate the hook that goes through the wheel and rests on the spokes is 'padded' which will help prevent the spokes from bending.

Mariana Ballina: Sturdy, easy to install, sleek and functional.

Love how small and sleek the product is. When the bikes are not on them, they look nice and inoffensive to the eyes. Definitely one of the nicest designs out there.

Hung these up in my patio (on a stucco exterior wall) about a month or two before the last large earthquake here in Southern California. Was happy to see they were sturdy and did not cause any cracking or damage when the earthquake happened and that they held my bikes in place. (To be fair, we were not at the epicenter, but still, I was shaking, so pretty happy with the sturdiness).

Mounted two side to side so we can hang both our bikes next to each other, so neither item was mounted to a stud which would have been my preference. Used a hollow wall anchor and everything is holding up very well.
