Valerie MarroquinValerie Marroquin: I ordered these cookies because I suffer from PICA and I like eating hard crunchy things. I have been looking for different foods that I could eat that mimic the textures of what I like. I have tried meringues before, even making them myself but back then I didn’t have PICA, so I knew I already liked them, but didn’t know if these would be what I was looking for. They absolutely are.
They are hard and crunchy on the outside and flaky and crispy on the inside. The flavor is like a buttery sweet vanilla which I love. They are on the sweeter side though just keep that in mind. They aren’t the kind of cookie I could eat one right after the other.
I had seen in other reviews that some peoples cookies were arriving broken up, which I wouldn’t have minded, but every single cookie in mine was in tact which was just a bonus. They are a little pricy for the size but since there isn’t a Trader Joe’s near me, and I really enjoy them, I think they’re worth it.
